I love books and am a regular customer of Amazon. And, I have bought "Book Lovers" Page-a-day calendars in the past. However, I was extremely disappointed in this calendar. I didn't find a book I wanted to read until the middle of March and I haven't seen one since.
The authors of the book reviews seem to be bent on "new-agey", "politically correct" books. By the end of March, I threw it out.

I was extremely disappointed that the publisher consolidated the weekend days into one page. The title of the "Page a Day" is now deceptive and untrue. Perhaps some people may think that I am petty but it is in the little deceptions that starts to lessen integrity as a way of life.

Each November I look forward to getting my calendar for the next year. I have to admit I have several throughout the house, but this gem sits at the place of honor on my nightstand every day. Each morning I tear off that day's page and read it. If its a book I'd like to read, I save the page. I have met many new authors and books through the recommendations in Workman's calendar. I can't imagine not having it on my nightstand.
This is a wonderful gift for the book lover in your life. Get one for you and one to give as a gift.

I've bought this every year for about four years. Each year I find books I would not have known about otherwise. I wish they didn't lean to the left on their choices but even with that, it's a great collection of books you may well enjoy. Some are a bit too odd for me, but that's the nice thing, there's something for pretty much everyone. I've shared book ideas with friends who like different types of reading and they have enjoyed the selections. So if you are always in search of a good book, you'll probably enjoy this calendar.

I used this page-a-day last year and was glad I did;While not every book appealed to me as far as subject matter (or the fact that I already read it) I was pleased with the variety of subject matter and discovering some new authors that I wouldn't have found out about otherwise. Also, I enjoyed most of the recommendations that I did read.in fact,I have enough book suggestions to last me well into this year so I didn't buy a new one. A nice gift for when you don't want to spend too much(like for a co-worker or casual acquaintance,etc.)just make sure they like to read(alot!.)

This calendar is a great stocking stuffer for the book lovers on your list. It also makes a great birthday gift, hostess gift or thoughtful gift for a teacher.

I look forward every day to a suggestion and info about a new book. I buy a desk calendar every year and have enjoyed learning about many books heretofore unfamiliar to me.
