Talk about serendipity! Months of studying the current landscape for book marketing told me I needing "Book Marketing Made Easy" before D'vorah wrote it. Now here it is! D'vorah suggests its readers use a highlighter to keep track of tips or strategies that especially "speak" to the reader. Big problem. What's an author to do when every page shouts out solid advice or insightful tips? (My copy looks likes I dipped it in yellow ink:<) This book is like having a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is book-marketing expert perched on my desk, embedded in a hundred and forty pages. Its detailed templates for publishing success reveal exactly what I need to do to self-market "Quantum Fires" effectively both before and after its release. Thank you, D'vorah Lansky!

I was hoping this book would give me something new to work with, after reading the stellar reviews.

I wouldn't have minded so much, if I had just bought the Kindle version at $2.99. I paid full price for a 142-page softcover book that told me nothing new at all. The information is very basic... and if that's what you need, you'll get something out of the book. If you've been following any online marketers for a year or more, you'll have come across these ideas already.

It looked to me as if the book had been intended for the Kindle market, rather than paperback, judging from the strange layout inside the covers. And after paying 14 bucks, I couldn't believe the number of the author's affiliate links sprinkled all through her text. An editor should have caught that (along with odd page numbering and chapter positioning). Lansky is a book marketing pro; I really expected more.

In D'vorah Lansky's introduction to "Book Marketing Made Easy," an extremely practical guide to online book promotion strategies, she reminds us that, "Your book is a gift that you give to the world." Writing a book is only half of an author's job, the other half is getting that book into the hands of readers so that it can fulfill its particular mission to inform, inspire, enlighten, or entertain.

"Book Marketing Made Easy" touches on all the primary ways you can connect with readers online: blogging, social networking, teleseminars, information products, article marketing, and online video. If simply reading this list makes you feel overwhelmed, don't worry. You only have to do one thing at a time, and D'vorah's made that super easy for you. Each chapter contains a list of specific actions you can take, and all you have to do is choose the ones that seem the easiest or sound like the most fun, and your book marketing will soon be rocking and rolling online.

Having your book accepted by a publisher, or even if self-published, is a wonderful literary achievement, yet being a published author takes not only gutsy passion, but persistence and a willingness to do the work necessary to generate book sales. With over 100,000 new titles being published each month, authors are expected to take an active role in the marketing process beyond their literary achievement.

Book Marketing Made Easy by author, Dvorah Lansky, ©2011, teaches authors how to promote their books using Online relationship marketing strategies. Lansky uses straight-forward language and an informal writing style to explain steps that is refreshing. She also does a good job of not just outlining what needs to be done, but goes into detail as to why to implement strategies, along with recommendations. The latter is especially useful to those who are unfamiliar with these Internet resources. The information will acquaint authors with marketing tactics that will place them steps ahead of the game when followed.

I'm well versed in marketing strategies, but the author made the step-by-step procedures of certain elements that I previously shied away from, easy to implement. Naturally, I will be using them as I continue marketing my books.

I highly recommend Book Marketing Made Easy.

Marketing a book has never been easy - I know, because I've had over 25 books published and each time the marketing process has become increasingly complex. Trade publishers, bless their hearts, say they will market your books but usually this amounts to very little, and their expertise in the online environment is limited. If you self-publish, you're on your own anyway. Result? It's DIY time.

Available media for marketing have exploded into myriad platforms online, so devising a marketing plan for your book is ten times as complex as it was even ten years ago. Unless you have expert guidance through this maze, your chances of success are slim.

I've read a number of books about book marketing online, but D'vorah Lansky's "Book Marketing Made Easy" is by far the most comprehensive I've seen. I would strongly recommend anyone wishing to mount an effective campaign to buy this book and keep it handy for reference; if you do, your book's success is almost guaranteed.
