This is a great addition to your library. The style in which this book is set up is very helpful and fun for the young readers in your home. There are many pictures from Del Parson, who painted Christ in the red robe in this book, as well as many other pictures from other great artists. There are also many other helps in the book. Certain verse numbers are marked in red indicating there is further information like definitions of certain words, quotes from modern scipture and modern Church leaders, and many other things at the bottom of each page. This book makes reading with with your children fun.

My wife is a convert to the church and was having a hard time reading the scripture and understanding it well. I decided to get this edition to see if it would help and it really did. There are some great commentaries and explinations at the bottom of each page. It makes reading the B.O.M. more fun and enjoyable too. I highly recommend this to anyone really.

We have started using this as scripture study and it has helped us very much to understand the contents of the scriptures. I read this to my children and we stop to read the thought provoking questions that the author has put at the bottom. He also puts the meaning of words at the bottom which helps us understand. We love it as a family and will be getting The New Testament in the same format. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts.

We have used this as a family to study the scriptures together. The photos and additional features of this book are superb. Our kids love it!

Many people praise this book for its "kid-friendly" set up, but as an adult with no children, I can say it's wonderful for any age. I have a difficult time understanding many verses in the scriptures, but this book not only explains things very clearly, it gives additional insight and gets me thinking about concepts and ideas I would normally not think twice about while reading the regular scriptures. The illustrations are great, too! I love this book!!

We bought this to replace our old one because it's definitely one that gets used. The explanations it has about the scriptures definitely helps when trying to understand the complex imagry and stories. One thing I think it lacks is a more in depth analysis of some of the scriptures, especially the ones that quote Issiah (sp?). But with this being for the family, I suppose deeper analysis would be more appropriate in a different book.

We love having the definitions to words and phrases right at the bottom of the pages as well as references to other scriptures and quotes from general authorities. Each chapter is divided into sections and has headings for each section that quickly paraphrase what you will be reading. This will be a great resource for our family scripture study as we move from the ones with pictures we have been using with our young children.

Love the way it is put in small sections, so my family can read everyday, even if just a little.

This book is an excellent option for families with very small children. The chapters are broken down into even smaller sections which allows you to break up the reading for little ears. It also has pictures on many pages, not everyone, but there are a lot. The description and indexing at the bottom will probably be good when my kids are a bit older. Right now we just read through because I'm quite sure they have no idea what's going o (They are 3 and 1). But the index will be nice to have when they are about 5 or 6. The book is sturdy so it doesn't feel like it is going to fall apart anytime soon. I looked around and Amazon definately had the best price.

I have to say that this book is a must for any LDS family with or without kids. My wife and I absolutely love it. Would recommend this book and seller. A+++
