A Good Journal for Tracking Books Read,
By Bonnie Brody "Book Lover and Knitter" (Port St. Lucie, FL) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER)

I've been keeping a book journal since 1970. I like this particular journal a lot.
It is divided up into several very useful sections: Recommended Reads, Reading Notes, Favorite Quotes and Books Borrowed and Lent. I use the Recommended Reads section to write down books I want to read, ones that I've read about in book reviews or books that my friends have told me about. The Reading Notes section is where I write my impressions and reviews of the books I have read. I don't use the Quotes section. Instead, I've expanded the Reading Notes section to take over the Quotes. The Books Borrowed and Lent comes in very handy, especially the lent books. I'm very good at returning books but not everyone is. I often find that I loan a book out and when I go to look for it and find it missing, I forget who I lent it to. Having a place to keep track of where my books are helps to keep my library intact. I recommend this journal for anyone wanting to keep a book journal. I find the practice very rewarding.

for the bibliophile,
This review is from: Book Notes Journal (Interactive Journals S.) (Spiral-bound)
A friend of mine owns one of these. It's basically a nicely designed and organized notebook/journal to record lists of books read, books you'd like to read, books loaned, comments about, and quotes from, books you've read. If you've ever started a list of books you'd like to read and then forgotten where you put the list, this could be useful.
I plan to order one of these.

A must for those who loan books to family and friends,

This is an excellent journal for book lovers that loan out books to family and friends. I tend to forget who has my books (and how long they have had them) so I really wanted a journal that would allow me to mark down that information. This journal has tabbed sections for Recommended Reads, Reading Notes (which includes a "Books Read" section), Favorite Quotes, and Books Borrowed and Lent. There are folders in each tabbed page for slips of paper or extra bookmarks that I am not currently using. My only complaint would be that the "Books Read" section needs to be much larger! There is only room for 140 books read.

If you want something to write down the millions of books you want, this is for you. Don't buy it if you want a journal to remind you of the books you already own/read.
