From the Publisher

Big Book of Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts is for people who want to make quilts that are fun, hip, and a little different. Rather than traditional quilts, these are contemporary designs, including flowers, animals, and other images. Most are suitable for quilters of all ages, and many are suitable for children. Detailed step-by-step instructions and illustrations for each project feature quick-piecing techniques. The book includes an extensive introduction to rotary cutting with plenty of color photos and easy-to-follow directions.

I love the Big Book of Rotary Cutter Quilts. However, DO NOT Purchase "More Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts" with it. The "More Quick Rotary Cutter Quilts" book is a small version of the "Big Book of Rotary Cutter Quilts". There are no new designs in the "More" book, it's really an excerpt of the other one.

I've been quilting for a number of years and bought this book because I thought the patterns looked cute. I'm currently working on my first project from this book, the Santa Claus Tree Skirt. I have found the directions to be difficult, and a large amount of fabric is wasted because of the way you are instructed to make your blocks. I would much rather have been given actual dimensions and then just cut from there instead of making larger blocks, sewing them together, and then cutting half of them off and tossing the fabric. Fabric isn't cheap, and a good portion of it is going in the garbage with this project. I don't plan on making another project from this book.

Before I bought this book, I had always made my quilts in the traditional way. This book was an excellent introduction to the rotary cutting method, and I was able to make quilts from this book with complete success.
The directions are very clear and profusely illustrated. As long as you are accurate at measuring and cutting, you should find this book easy to work with, even if you are a complete beginner.
The designs are varied, ranging from the very cute to more sophisticated designs to traditional styles. There are designs intended for tablecloths and other small projects as well as bed quilts. Each is nicely photographed

This is a great book. Instructions are easy to follow and the quilts are just beautiful. I made the bunny rabbit quilt for a baby shower and the woman wouldn't let her baby use it for the first 6 months. She said she didn't want to ruin it. Just a great selection of patterns.

This is a good book if you don't have anything of Pam's before. However it is just two of her previous books, which I already had, combined into one. I didn't realize that until I had purchased the book. It does have some of her best designs though.

I LOVE this quilt book. My mom has the second edition which I actually originally found about 10 years ago at a flea market for $1. It has been know as the good book, when I need to borrow one from her. This is basically the same as the second edition but has way more quilts. I can say she has made all but one or two of the quilts from the second edition and I've made 4. Its rare to find a book that has more than 1 or 2 quilts I would really like and usually they are all so similar to each other. This one has so many different styles, from traditional to modern looking, baby and adult. Many of these are queen or twin size so I alter them to make throws, but it is easy to do that with the great instructions. I couldn't run out of great things to say about it. Oh, and it has a spiral bind and thick pages so it is easy to use when working on a quilt and doesn't get torn up easily. Love it.
