5.0 out of 5 stars Proof God uses man to reveal Himself
As a dedicated Bible reader, I must say that Dr. Stauffer has helped raise the fog from my eyes. Any person that studies the Bible can tell you that if you apply every verse (by itself) to your life, you will be schizophrenic in a sense. I have discovered now, what parts of the Bible apply to me today. Dr. Stauffer does not reduce the importance of any verse of the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Another Rehash of Hyper Dispensationalism
This book is just another re-hash of the false hyper dispensational doctrines of men like Bullinger and Welsh. This man and others like him would have you to believe that God sent Peter and Paul to preach two differant and opposing gospels at the same time, even though Paul said God will curse any man who preaches a gospel different from his! Hyper dispensationalism has...

5.0 out of 5 stars Proof God uses man to reveal Himself, May 16, 2000
This review is from: One Book Rightly Divided (Hardcover)
As a dedicated Bible reader, I must say that Dr. Stauffer has helped raise the fog from my eyes. Any person that studies the Bible can tell you that if you apply every verse (by itself) to your life, you will be schizophrenic in a sense. I have discovered now, what parts of the Bible apply to me today. Dr. Stauffer does not reduce the importance of any verse of the Bible, but merely clarifies which of the gospels apply to modern man. I encourage any person to study this book. I would nearly say that if they did not realize what I have realized, I would give them a refund myself. God has clearly used Dr. Stauffer by blessing him with this knowledge.

5.0 out of 5 stars AN OUTSTANDING BOOK!, October 7, 2000

DENNIS B SPACKMAN (Auckland, 1003 New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: One Book Rightly Divided (Hardcover)
"One Book Rightly Divided" by Douglas Stauffer is outstanding in every sense. The layout, print, diagrams and cover are impeccable. The book feels good, and is easy to read and handle. However, it is the contents and the text that lift "One Book Rightly Divided" into a class of its own - light-years ahead of any similar work.

This is the quintessential book on "right division" and dispensationalism. Every Pastor, preacher, minister and Bible College lecturer NEEDS this book. Sadly, much of the material in its pages will be unknown to those who are entrusted with "feeding the flock" and teaching the word. However, "One Book Rightly Divided" will ensure that ignorance or lack of understanding of "right division" are no longer excusable for the Christian, be he teacher, pupil or just and ordinary church member.

Dr Stauffer gently and patiently takes the reader on a Bible "journey" that progressively builds an understanding of hitherto much-neglected Bible doctrine. At the end of the journey, the reader can only step back and and say "What a wonderful God we have, what an awesome Bible He has preserved for us - and thank you Dr Stauffer for taking me on such an exciting journey."

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good study guide, October 23, 2009

This review is from: One Book Rightly Divided (Hardcover)
This book guides the reader through the Bible, showing how the books of the Bible apply (the author calls it "whose mail are you reading") to different groups. Much is devoted to why and how Paul is the messenger to the "gentiles". Scripture references back up his assertions. I recommend this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rev. Wayne's Review of One Book Rightly Divided, December 16, 2008

This book puts into black and white, what I have been trying for years to get across to Bible study groups. You have to know who is talking, and to who is their message directed. If it doesn't fit, don't force it. Like St. Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16 - "All scripture is profitable." However, all scripture is not written TO Gentiles, and all scripture is not written TO the Jews. You have to 'rightly divide' scripture into who said what to whom.

Great Book - a must for any serious Bible study group or anyone wanting to better understand God's word.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Book for Understanding Dispensationalism, March 5, 2008
This review is from: One Book Rightly Divided (Hardcover)
Dr. Stauffer has made a significant contribution to the understanding of Dispensational truth. This book will aid the beginning in developing the ability to "rightly divide" the word of God. In addition, it will help the seasoned Christian who holds to the dispensational understanding of scripture to sharpen their understanding of this important teaching of truth. I have used it as a text for college students with great success in teaching them how to understand the Bible. I highly recommend this book to all.

5.0 out of 5 stars One Book Rightly Divided, August 3, 2000

Found this book very enlighting. The King James Bible is clearly understood when you know where it's coming from, the time lines put all the events in proper perspective. Brother Stauffers' book is loaded with Bible references which show evidence to the truth contained there. Mr. Stauffer certainly knows his subject completely, which leaves the reader amazed at the facts from his indepth research, and without any doubts. This book is exciting to read as the information unfolds and the truth blossoms clear.

5.0 out of 5 stars An eye opener..., March 23, 2011

After reading this book, I can say that you will never look at the bible the same way again. The things you will learn, and come to understand are nothing short of amazing. While I do not agree with everything, I agree with about 90% of what Mr. Stauffer teaches. AS I reading reading each chapter, I was literally calling a good freind of mine to discuss each and everything I was learning, and we were both amazed!

If you really want to study the word of God and get a true understanding by rightly dividing the truth, I would highly suggest you pickup this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well Worth the Read, April 5, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: One Book Rightly Divided (Hardcover)
This work is excellent but certainly not the first on this subject, as a very few men, since the beginning, have always understood parts of the Bible are addressed to them and others are not! Although Dr Stauffer is deeply prejudiced against any version of the Bible except the KJV in this case he does not let that get in the way. This work unlike his "One Book Stands Alone" is very scholarly and very logical. If his subject had been fully understood by Christendom we would not have most of the silly fractures of the denominations that have occurred simply because we read someone else's mail and took it for our own instruction. He is to be commended for his excellent work and all Christendom should read it in my not so humble opinion.

I originally gave it a 5 stars in error and thought I had clicked the 4 star rating. The only reason for four stars instead of 5 is his promotion of the terribly misguided KJV Only movement.

I apologize for my error in rating and all this time I thought I had given him a 4 Star. But while I'm at it:

Do you not know Christ did not come for us and did not preach to us? He avoided Gentiles and even ignored some. When pressed He granted their requests. But he was a minister to the Jews ONLY at the time. His Gospel message was what became Peter's Gospel the Gospel of the Kingdom. It applied to Jews! You cannot change that it is just fact. Paul is our apostle and he is the only one given the Newer Gospel of Grace. They are not the same. The so called "Church Fathers" (mostly heretics to a man) were not fathers of the Body of Christ! They promoted the use of the Gospels excluding the letters. Wasn't like they had the whole Bible to use on a regular basis. Do that today and you will be in error today and a Church of Christ hardliner at worst or a Roman Catholic at best. But it is incorrect. We must use the entire Scripture. But the critical separation of the Gospel messages must be done before you can clearly understand them. This fact is nearly perfectly explained to the "teachable" and masterfully so by Dr Doug. His calling seems to be the truthful teaching of the Gospels, in fact all of them, and not Bible versions. But by all means get his bad book "One Book Stands Alone" A 1 star but one of the few intelligible sources that explains and demonstrates the silliness of the very radical KJV Only Movement. 1 Star but highly recommended IMHO. If you insist on it then learn a couple of his defenses so you can at least sound half way studied on the subject. His works are valuable regardless of their rating.
