From the Author

This book began as a recording that I made while returning home from a book signing tour. That tour began as I was scheduled to present a seminar half-way across the country, Take Charge of Your Life. Tom and Patty Ellis planned this 12-city tour and sent me off with an incredibly detailed guide. I later prevailed upon them to produce a behind the scenes how-to workbook. book-tour-guide.com
The tour was about so much more than simply signing books. It was about meeting people, including book sellers, and exchanging ideas with them. It was gratifying to meet among the audiences, a mother and her young son in Scottsdale, AZ, a soon-to-be retired couple in El Paso, TX, and relatives and friends in San Antonio, TX. Most touching was the young woman who waited after the mini-seminar in El Paso--the only person among the rows of empty chairs. I noticed her while I signed books and talked with people who had waited in line. She said, "My family is waiting in the car, but I don't want to leave." In Amarillo, TX, a man careened into the bookstore parking lot and fairly shouted, "Is the author still here?" repeatedly until I assured him that she was. Though the seminar and signing were over, we went inside and talked for several minutes. Memorable moments.
From Book Signing to Best Seller provides a lot of good advice from people who have "been there and done that." I appreciate the contributions of many authors who shared their experiences.
The book is also available in eBook form and soon to be available on Kindle.

Condrill's book was fantastic at helping me come up with creative ideas on how to promote my book, Genesis Beach, and how to get folks to host book signings at practically no cost to me. I am still overwhelmed and grateful for the success I'm having. I wouldn't have had a clue without this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars not bad, May 3, 2006
This review is from: From Book Signing to Best Seller: An Insider's Guide to Conducting a Successful Low-Cost Book Signing Tour (Paperback)
From Book Signing to Bestseller was okay, not bad. It was a quick-read. But I was hoping for some unique techniques to generate publicity to have a huge response to book signing but it was good to have the general idea of how to do a book signing in one place that was nice. I think the book could be condensed down to 2-3 pages of actual useful knowledge. I was also hoping to see that the authors would have actually made their books bestsellers on NY Times or something to show the credibility that they're techniques works but I am thankful to have this information in one book. I'm not sure there's another book out there like it so for that major kudos.
