Book Description

Have you ever been afraid? What about the first time your parents trusted you to be on your own? Were you scared then?

I'm Stephanie Pixley. I'm twelve years old, practically an adult, and yet my parents have never let me stay on my own, or even let me babysit my two younger siblings.

I hope my BIG chance doesn't get spoiled by someone who is either out to sabotage it, make me look bad, or is really hoping they can frighten me. Well, I've got news for them, they're not going to stop me from Staying Home Alone!

When you're done reading my story, please leave me a message in the reviews and let me know about a time when you were scared and if you liked reading my story.

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

I have enjoyed writing this series because the stories evolved from things relating to my own children. I always love adding a touch of humor to my stories because that's how I am in real life.

Children enjoy this series because Stef is like any other kid they go to school with--so she seems real to them, like a very close friend.

Please write a review after you have read this story, or any of the others in the series. I enjoy hearing from my readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Tween Girls Who are On Their Own December 4, 2012
By WriterR
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is a perfect Christian book for tween girls.

I really enjoyed how Susette had the Sunday School teacher tell a story about fear and it set the tone for the entire book. Stef knew that God would take care of her, so she didn't need to fear. I also enjoyed how Stef is always using creative ways to solve her problems. She is a typical tween doing the best she can.

I would recommend this book to all tweens! I'm going to recommend it to the tweens I know.

I received a free copy to review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the FTC Regulations.

5.0 out of 5 stars You Can't Scare Me August 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Love it! When the opportunity comes to get to stay home alone, it's nothing
like 12-year old Stef imagined! Suspenseful, and an unforgettable
story that provides a valuable lesson for young people. Author has a knack
for the written word!

5.0 out of 5 stars My 8 years old Son loved it February 25, 2013
By Sean
Format:Kindle Edition
Though the story is weaved around a girl, when I read this story to my son before he went to bed, he loved it. This is a good story with a clean, straightforward plot. The narration is really good and it creates curiosity and suspense.

It is a good book. I highly recommend it

5.0 out of 5 stars Great subject! February 25, 2013
By Idan H.
Format:Kindle Edition
I really loved this story. Who didn't want to stay on his own and just wait for the parents to leave? When I was a young boy I wanted to stay alone as much as possible, but my parents always left me with my grandparents.
This story describes perfectly in a young girl POV, the yearning for some freedom, to receive acknowledgement that she is finally a responsible grown up girl. Thank you for the a lovely educational story!
