Fantastic book
I've spoke with and taken classes from John Feierabend several times. His First Steps curriculum is perfect for parents to use with their children. This book in particular focuses on rhymes and chants (simple ones) that have been around forever in American and European culture. It's great if parents already know folk tales, rhymes and folk songs because they grew up with...

Not necessary
This was o.k., but not necessary...I thought it might have some fun ideas to share, but has mostly poems that I already knew, and my daughter had no interest.

I've spoke with and taken classes from John Feierabend several times. His First Steps curriculum is perfect for parents to use with their children. This book in particular focuses on rhymes and chants (simple ones) that have been around forever in American and European culture. It's great if parents already know folk tales, rhymes and folk songs because they grew up with that at home, but for those parents who don't really know too many songs, chants or rhymes this book will quickly become a favorite. It's a necessary addition to the entire set of First Steps books.
