While its low price makes it appear to be a good purchase for a small business, it has a lot of drawbacks. To name a few: 1. Must be installed by someone with Administrator rights. 2. Must be run by someone with Administrator rights. 3. Can only run from a C: drive (will not run on any drive name other than C:, meaning no external hard drives, network drives etc.) 4. There is an FAQ web site for help, but any assistance from the developers cost $25 for the first 10 min. and a per minute charge after that. 5. There is no General Ledger! For smaller businesses this is important. Instead of numerous daily transactions, with a GL you can do weekly or monthly total transactions. 6. It is simple to make a mistake (i.e. date of transaction), but virtually impossible to correct once made. I was entering information from a previous month/year and the default date is always the current date. I hit "save" and then noticed the date was wrong. There is no way to edit or correct without doing a complete reversal transaction. 7. It has some bugs. One item that came up is voiding a check. It has the option to do it, but always came up with an error message. It would mark the check "Void" but did not reverse the transaction. There are more issues with this software, but I have tried to hit the major problems. It is basically an Access database with most editing features locked out. If you are looking for a starter Accounting software, stay clear of this one. Spend the little extra for a time tested program such as Peachtree or QuickBooks. We are now purchasing a new program and wasted the money on this one, not to mention the countless hours trying to get it installed and set-up.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. It is almost impossible to make a correction once an entry is saved. In my case, I can not figure out how to change the account on a saved transaction The instructions in the manual don't work because I suspect they are incomplete. So the only option is to contact the company for help and at a whopping price! Some savings! Don't waste your money on this program. Buy Quickbooks or Peachtree and save yourself a lot of grief.
