The list author says: "Some of these books I am not a huge fan of, but they have become popular. Other books I have really enjoyed reading and wouldn't mind reading again. There are quite a few books that I have not read yet; however, have added these books to my to-read section on GoodReads and the rest of my social book-sites and my wish-list here on Amazon. I might even have a copy of a few of these for sale....so stay tuned to my Amazonstore. This is a list in progress, if you feel that I have missed any books please contact me so that I can add them on here."
"Interesting novel, close to one of my favorites. The only thing that most readers are disappointed about is the fact that the apocalypse or devastation is not explained in the novel.Forget about the why this occurred and focus on the here and now, which is a theme spread throughout the book."
"This is part of the Joanna Brady Mysteries. I have heard such wonderful things about this series from the author. I have a few of her books for sale and am about to start the 1st in the series "Fire and Ice"."
"There are so many tales from wars that are unknown to the general public. I find it interesting that Navajo Indians even participated in WWII. I've put this down on my list to read. Sometimes it is great to mix fiction with nonfiction, it exercises the mind and brings awareness to the reader."
"This is another YA book that many adults have read as well. What happens when the friends around you start to disappear and all you have left is their empty school desks to remember them by...until graffiti messages start appearing on the missing students' desk."
"I have not yet read this series. I have heard wonderful things about it from friends and from students,to start comparing it to the TrueBlood TV series that I'm an addict. I have a few copies for sale within the series."
"This is book 2 of her DreamCatcher series,of which the 1st book was a NY Times best seller. It may be considered a YA novel, but many adults have ventured into reading her books with enjoyment. All I know about this book is that sometimes nightmares never end. I would consider her the Stephen King of YA books. Try it out and tell me what you think."
"Her book Wake was a New York Times bestselling paranormal novel for teens. It is also a YALSA BBYA nominee and Top Ten Quick Pick for Reluctant YA Readers, an ABC New Voices Pick for Spring 2008, and a Borders Original Voices Nominee."
"This is Book 1 of Suzanne Collins Hunger Games trilogy, which is the only one with a black cover.I highly recommend reading this addictive series voted a NY Times Bestseller. Once again this might be considered a YA novel...but delve into the Hunger Games Series, which continues with "Catching Fire", and "MockingJay""
"I am ashamed to say that I have yet to read an Ian McEwan novel. He is on my reading list, with a few books loaded onto my Kindle2 and the rest on sale in my Amazon store. The premise of Atonement is dealing with juvenile repercussions and surviving the wake of damage that this might cause, set in the early 1930s. Which McEwan book is your favorite?"
"This is the first book of an excellent series that looks at a different view of the famed tale of The Wizard of OZ. This book was so excellent and inspiring that they have even made it into a Broadway Musical. I recommend reading the book before seeing the musical to catch the little things they expand on and a few things that remained unmentioned in the play."
"Not a black cover but the original book has it.I saw the musical to Wicked not that long ago. It was amazing, the lights, special effects, and the way they turned the novel into a musical without leading astray from the book that Gregory Maguire wrote. If you like Wicked I recommend reading the rest of the series: #2 Son of a Witch, #3 A Lion Among Men."
"Working in the Social Media Marketing industry and networking with so many different types of people, I am always amazed as to how the internet and computers have drastically changed our lives. Bill Gates is one of the names that shall forever remain connected to technology, computers, and the internet..not to forget the tons of money this man has."
"Kay Jamison is the same author as "An Unquiet Mind".The author pulls together the ideas of biological, environmental, psychological, and medical viewpoints of suicide. This is something that has become more prevalent across the country from the rich, poor, even movie stars are not exempt."
"One of the best crime fiction books. Harry Hole is bound to be a hero/detective that will become one of your favorites. Jo Nesbo is a Scandinavian thriller writer that will you plunge you into the warped mind of a murderer."
"Neil Gaiman, author of "American Gods" and "Good Omens" provides a chilling account blurring reality with fantasy through a door. This book was made into a children's film. If you have seen it please comment and let me know what you thought."
"The cover I have for sale is different than the one in the picture to the left. Hanif's book is an entertaining black comedy filled with love, military culture, family and many other events leading to 9/11."
"Parasite Positives or Peeps are the names that vampires prefer to call themselves. All the things that you heard before were lies...being a peep is a disease, being a carrier of the disease means you are a hunter for those you have infected."
