Definitely a pamphlet and not a book. However, the price is right, for the pamphlet. It has lots of good ideas, but many do call for a special pattern plate.
I just have the basic shapes. My Granddaughter has found that she can adjust several of the ideas to my basic shapes.

We got a set of Perler beads for Christmas, and I ordered this book so we would get more patterns to work with. Wow! This book is AMAZING. I would love to get my hands on the first and third book in the series. So many neat ideas. Everything coded to show you which peg board you need for each design. We are HOOKED on the Perler beads! If you love them, get this book and you will have so many more designs and ideas!
