Review

The Books of Jeu - Reprinted at last! [...] This Brill reprint is of the 1978 publication, which itself republished Carl Schmidt's text from his edition with German translation of 1892.[...] Thanks should be expressed to Brill for making this primary text with accompanying translation and notes available. "The Books of Jeu and the Untitled Text in the Bruce Codex" is an incredibly rare book. For whatever reason, accessing the Bruce Codex is extremely difficult and requires much legwork. Hopefully someday soon another translation of this Codex will make its way to print.

In the mean time, I have gathered together every version I could find regarding these mysterious texts. Directly under the "Customer Reviews" is the "Customer Discussions" section. Click on the discussion entitled "Accessing the Texts of the Bruce Codex" under "This product's forum" to start reading these immediately. I hope this helps out. Feel free to add anything that I have missed.

This book was written for people that are truly students of ancient scrolls like me. I treasure this Book. So much to study and decipher and practice.

Probably the only translation of the Book of Jeu into English. Jeu is short for IAO (the ancient Hebrew pronunciation of YHWH, the tetragrammation). This book contains chants in Coptic and their translation into English. It also contains greek letters used as the notes that those ancient chants are entoned on.
This is the most important Gnostic book you can own.
I believe it is currently out of print.
