I've been creating and maintaining a short list of books I really want to read on my Kindle 2, but will not/cannot buy until the price comes down, and want to share it with the world. Come on Amazon, take a look at these prices and consider reducing them:
1. Iain Pears, Stone's Fall, currently $15.37; 2. Peter Ackroyd's, Thames: The Biography, currently $23.76; 3. Louise Ure, Liars Anonymous, currently $14.27; 4. Anita Brookner, Stangers: A Novel, currently $14.30; 5. Penelope Lively, Consequences, currently $14.82; 6. William G. Tapply, Hell Bent, currently $18.21; 7. William K. Krueger, Red Knife, currently $15.00; and 8. Michael Connelly, The Scarecrow, currently $13.85.

Anyone have more books they are putting off purchasing because of high prices??

Yep! The School of Essential Ingredients $12.99. After all, no paper, no shipping, no inventory costs, come on, people lower the prices. The hardcover edition is only $9.98. Maybe this Kindle gift wasn't so great.
