5.0 out of 5 stars A perfectly done "best of" set of John Lee Hooker, June 21, 2004
By
This review is from: Boom Boom: Best Of John Lee Hooker (Audio CD)
24 delishous tracks of John Lee Hooker's appealling baritone, and rockin' guitar, with sinimal accompiment(usually drums, and bass). All of Hookers stape hist are here like Boom Boom, Dimples, Boogie Chillen, Big Legs Tight Skirt and a slightly different version of I'm In The Mood(without his voice overdubs!).

This cd finds Hooker in his prime in the 50's and these are the songs everyone was dancing to in jukeboxes in small dives all across America. Wonderful music that crosses the blues and r&b generes. This cd will make a perfect introduction to the wonderful and exciting music of John Lee Hooker!
