If it was, it would at least be something different than just AC/DC's Australian catalouge in JEWEL CASES stuffed into a box. But that's exactly what it is. Led Zep's box at least had some interesting packaging so don't let the review below mislead you. Being a collector I was more than disappointed to discover this fact, as I already have all of the standard Aussie cd's. Besides the packaging though, the music contained within needs no explaination or further praising. If you don't already have the remastered Aussie editions(circa 1995) then this is a good place to get them all in one. They are much better than the American editions and also include lyrics, picture discs,original artwork,etc. By the way, the three star rating has nothing to do with the music but reflects my views regarding the packaging. Rock on, freaks!

I happened to be in Europe not too long ago, and noticed that a store had this box set of AC/DC. This set contains all of their music, beginning with "High Voltage", and ending with the double disc album "Live". It does not contain any other material such as a book or poster like "Bonfire" did, and if anyone owns the 12 disc box set of Led Zeppelin, it is just like that: all of their albums remastered. This box set will not be reissued in the states any time soon, but buying each individual album is just as good.

I once knew this lady who didn't approve of smut, partying, or porn. The funny thing was that she did approve of AC/DC. You know, the same AC/DC that used lyrics like "You got the touch that I need so much in your finger tips,I got honey what you love to taste on those lovely lips" and "Let me put my love into you, babe,let me cut your cake with my knife". She insisted that their lyrics would mature with time and their musicianship would improve, and she was right.
AC/DC always had a knack for writing solid hooks, great blues stompers, and searing riffs to a boogie beat. All of that is collected here, even if these aren't the same issues (covers,etc.) released here in the States.
You're probably only reading this because you are a fan of AC/DC and you need to know if this box is worth the cost...it is. Fourteen single disc studio releases plus the collector's edition 2-disc AC/DC live set for a total of 16 cd's. All (except the two live discs)are gorgeous picture discs, and all of the pre-1985 releases, 10 albums, are digitally remastered (you've never heard them sound this good).
With that said, though, fans of the more recent AC/DC albums who have been wondering how the band sounded 20 or 30 years ago will get more out of the Boom Box than perhaps they ever thought. I know I did.

It's so sad we all have to get old and die away. If there was just a away for these guys to achieve literal immortality.

does anyone know what cds are in this bx set i already own 95% of the collection and i dont want to end up buying 10-15 cds that i already own. So pls post any info on this box set. I salute you!

I never really reviewed anything . Just wanting to know what CD's come in the box set. I'm a big ac/dc fan . since the days of Bon Scott. Seen him in the 70's at Wheeling, West Virginia great band. Please let me know. Thank you.

I own the AC/DC BOOM BOX that Albert Productions released and if this version is anything like mine (mine is all the studio albums up until The Razor's Edge)Then I would pass because the albums do come with their own cases,but the covers are different then the individual releases,for example,TNT does not have the lyrics and photos like the origional release,all they have is a picture of the front and back,and most of them have only one sheet!I was disappointed,if I knew I would have bought them singly,it's about the same cost anyway,plus no COLD HEARTED MAN!(WEA Atlantic only)Awesome Band,but a RIP OFF!

This is a must for a real "hardcore" AC/DC Fan. Just one more word : Brilliant
