i have to say that milo kearney does a great job in documenting the history of brownsville, and matamoros. everything has a beginning, and this Professor of Historical sciences at the University of Texas at Brownsville does a fantastic job. The only thing that is really not good are the illustrations by petr Gawendra. they are really non enthusiastic, and super cheezy. i dont care what any one else says,a lousy effort. any way the book is worth it, for any one who wants to find out the history of this city [brownsville]this book is for you. Antonio Knopp also contributed to this literature work.

My most sincere congratulations to the authors, although personally I do not know I think your work is superb, well illustrated and thoroughly professional. What I like also is the sociological and political analysis, from the viewpoint of the theory of elites, which gives a great focus to this story. I am just reading the book, I discovered it recently, and although I had read some other histories in Spanish, some very good like Zarate's and others not so, because as we say here: "fall off the fence". But this book is excellent reference and reading fun and agile. Again congratulations to the authors and all those who participated in the project.
