Non traditional,

I found this album was pretty different from Bellydance Breakbeats. And I actually like it better.
It's pretty non-traditional as far as bellydance music goes. It's quite upbeat and I thoroughly enjoy listening to it. I get a little bit tired of the vocals at times because some of the lyrics are silly. But the "instrumentals"(i use the term loosely) totally make up for it. Sometimes some of the music has almost a Reggaeton feel to it. It's very remixed or I guess you could say Oojami employs a lot of electronic components in addition to actual instruments like drums and flutes...

As a bellydancer, I LOVE this CD. Upbeat, fun vocals. I certainly will be dancing to this music. Its a great combination of belly dancey sharp beats and has an old fashioned beach blanket 60's feel thats fun to dance to.

I love this CD great blend of different styles, high energy, funky, different, even exotic (especially track#13--great flute sound)...If you're looking for something different sounding that's sorta hip-hoppy,reggaton-y, and great to dance to or just crank up, this is cool...

Fun, funky, great for clubs or dance drills,

This is a seriously fun an funky collection of club-style dance music. Great for doing repetitive drills, danc classes who are working on learning a move to a beat, casual dancing out at a club, or for tribal fusion work. It has a strong reggae feel on top of the Middle eastern mix. I wouldn't recommend it for dancer performance in general(maybe I'm just too traditional?) but I like to have a variety of rhythms in a performance piece, and this tends to be more trance dance/repetitive club thumping, which could wear on an audience with a solo performance, but might work with a an interesting tribal troupe choregraphy.

I love this music! Belly dancing with a hoody twist. Every track gets my hips moving and then improvisation takes over. Highly recommended to anyone who loves to dance.
