Anjulie is an Indo-Guyanese-Canadian singer who's made a splash with her songs on MTV reality shows like "The Hills" and "The City." Her "Boom",however,has been her hit single. Considering its debut coincides with the Black Eyed Peas' awful "Boom Boom Pow",there's competition,and it's fierce. In "Boom",Anjulie creatively blends a '60s retro with an edge psychedelic beat with a Bollywood refrain. It's a delightfully intoxicating,darkly comic song,with a trippin' music video. Anjulie's debut on Starbucks' caffeinated Hear Music label is promising. Hopefully,we'll be hearing more music from her.
