It's a personal column...
...so really, it's proper that he uses the word "I". So if you haven't heard of someone they can't possibly have something valuable to say? I like the writing. The columns are hit-or-miss, but there are enough hits to make it a good read.

Not worth your time
The author focuses on himself way too much. I've never even heard of him, but it's "I this" and "I that". I can't believe this was actually published. What a joke!
