Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Hello! I'm glad you found me and my books! I had a great time writing my new (third) book, "Boomers into Business", and truly hope you enjoy reading it. With sobering stats revealing that almost 50% of Baby Boomers are at risk of outliving their retirement savings, I felt this topic needed to be addressed quickly.

And hopefully the solutions provided for generating income now and into the future, full time or part time, are ones that help you. My book, and the ideas outlined within, may not be the perfect fit for every Boomer, but I can tell you they resonate with most Boomers I know.

I'm contacted on a regular basis by people over 50 who are either self-employed already and seeking help to increase their income, OR by Boomers who want to launch their own business for more income & flexibility. So...Boomers are seeking guidance and my book is intended to be one resource available.

I hope you enjoy, and benefit from, reading it. Cheers to your success now & in the future!

I'd been thinking about starting a side business to help make up for my sagging 401k. Let me tell you, the thought of starting a business when you hit middle-age is scary. But Orrell's book is a revelation in that it shows you how to find your niche and get your business off the ground. More importantly, it offers ideas on how to use your knowledge and experience to your advantage, which is great because you probably don't want to have to go back to school to find your second career. So check this book out and realize the options you have right now.

I know Lisa, I've worked with Lisa, and I'm a Boomer, myself. Also, I am fortunate enough to have a chapter in BOOMERS INTO BUSINESS, based on teachings from my book, JUST TREAT ME LIKE I MATTER: THE HEART OF SALES. From my rich life filled with abundant wisdom and experience, and my ability to teach and mentor, I know it is my life calling to help others. But the exasperating challenge has been: "How does the world find about me?" Now Lisa has given me the solution! She has given me a beautiful, user -friendly roadmap to fulfill my heartfelt dreams and leave my valuable mark in this world. And with her well stocked and organized "tool box," I have no more excuses for not finding my success!

As a (newly) self-employed Boomer who is an Online Business Manager in the Internet Marketing world, I've been following Lisa's tips and strategies as she offers them through her blog and Fan Page posts for quite a while. I always learn something new and I'm able to implement them for myself, and my clients, quickly with excellent results. Thank you, Lisa, for your clear thinking and can-do writing style - I read your monthly tips as soon as they come in and your new book has given me great ideas for expanding my business to generate more on-going income into the future!

Having followed Lisa Orrell's wisdom, advice and experience for nearly 20 years, I was thrilled to see that she wrote a book that speaks to our generation. I pull up the rear of the boomers (1964) and find her insight hugely valuable. I also bought a copy for my brother who has been an entrepreneur for 30 years and continues to evolve and reinvent himself. Lisa's book will be a go-to resource ton ensure his success!
