Don't bother. The suction on this has nothing on my child, and the extra "catcher" is basically an added grip point for the kids to toss across the room.

This is an elegant bowl (not that babies care about elegance), but the suction cup doesn't work. It adheres for perhaps ten seconds and then pops free. Also, the blue lip and base stain easily; after a meal of carrots, they're now green.

This item is not a spill catcher and the suction bottom doesn't hardly suction at all! My 16 month old pulled the suction bowl right off. I guess it could be for 2-3 year olds, but not for small toddlers.
