4.0 out of 5 stars Very strong suction if you dampen it.
People have complained about this bowel having a weak suction but, as with all suction cups, if you run water over the cup and then stick it, it holds like an electromagnet. I tried this and several other similar type suction products in the store and this one held strongest by far.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Idea/Design, Bad Material
Love this bowl but ran into the same problem: dishwasher warped the rubber parts, the suction cup became useless, the flap warped.

THERE IS A FIX THOUGH: boil it gently for a minute or so in a large pot, then sit it lightly, suction cup down, on a cold flat surface (such as marble counter top). My suction cup adapted back into its functional shape. I flipped...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great bowl, February 26, 2010

This bowl is great; however, my 12 month old daughter was a little mad the first few times we used it because she couldn't throw it on the floor! The suction works really well and I plan to purchase more products from Boon.

I flipped over the plate to flatten the still-hot flap the same way, but it didn't get entirely even again.

Since then i have been handwashing my 'acceptable looking' bowl and it never got badly deformed again. It does work very well for it's intended purpose - catching the dribblings...

After trying the Munchkin Three Stay Put Suction Bowl 3-Pack which DID NOT STICK AT ALL and the waaaay more expensive (although not technically a baby product) Large Sticky Bowl which DID NOT STAY STUCK AT ALL (although it did work as intended for keeping a bowl steady), I was about to give up hope.

Then I tried the Boon Catch Bowl.

And the bowl stayed stuck.

Through lunch.

With my 16mo toddler almost-constantly pulling at it (he knew he could get the other bowls off).

/cue angels singing

That said, I don't yet see much use in the "spill catcher" part of it--maybe once my son starts eating with one hand more than the other...but for now, it's just more of a handle for him to play with.

But I still HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bowl and am happy to give it five stars.

P.S. We loved it so much we bought a second bowl (the orange/white one), and were surprised to get an orange/blue bowl! Turns out the photo is WRONG--but the description says orange/blue--and you do get an orange/blue bowl.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Dishwasher safe, November 2, 2008
Very disappointed that on the first run through the dishwasher the base warped so much that it can never be used, sitting flat or with suction, again. Waste of money although the deisgn was good.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't put it in the dishwasher!, September 28, 2008

I thought this bowl would be perfect for my twin one year olds to use when they practice using silverware. It worked pretty well after I handwashed it for the first use. Suction cup held fairly well and the bowl lip prevented some spills. However, the package says it's dishwasher safe. It's not. After one washing in the top of the dishwasher, both bowls came out with warped suction cups & lips, so they won't suction to the highchair anymore & the lips look funny. As long as you always handwash it, it should be fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bowl Ever, August 28, 2009

We are Boon product lovers and this catch bowl doesn't disappoint! I love the spill catcher and how the bowl sticks via suction to a highchair or a restaurant table...without this bowl, all my son's food would end up on the floor! We take it everywhere!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bowl, December 2, 2011
This review is from: Boon Catch Bowl - Toddler Bowl with Spill Catcher in Pink/White (Baby Product)
I received this bowl as a gift for my 14 month old who throws everything on the floor when he eats. The suction is pretty good and it sticks to my countertop and my wooden table. Usually I have to press it down again a few times during the meal. Most of the time, we get through the meal without my son dumping his bowl. I use this bowl for every meal and am very glad that I have it. I think it is totally worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars these things are great!, September 27, 2011

This review is from: Boon Catch Bowl - Toddler Bowl with Spill Catcher in Pink/White (Baby Product)
At first I wasn't sure about these bowls, the ones I had purchased when my daughter was little never worked well or consistently (munchkin brand). These things work every time! Sometimes you need to wet the suction part a bit to get them to stick but they work so well they are always getting suctioned to the sink while in there to be washed! We just moved him from the highchair to a booster at our table and they stick to the wood too. I love them. I wish they made plates too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best suction bowl, July 29, 2011

We have been using this bowl for our 21 month old for about 6 months now and we love it! She can't pick it up off the tray and the lip catches spills, not to mention the great price!
