Excellent high chair,

This review is from: Boon Flair Pedestal High Chair with Pneumatic Lift, Pink/White (Baby Product)
I needed a high chair for my third child as I'd given away my original Graco high chair. After spending a few hours reading reviews and comparing prices, I decided on this Boon model. I'm so glad that I did! First of all, even though my taste does not run to the ultra contemporary, I think that this chair looks rather cool. (I love the available colors!) I must say that the two features that sold me on this high chair were the ability to clean it up thoroughly and quickly, and the ease of being able to raise and lower the height hydraulically.
When the box arrived, I (a ten year stay at home mom with no particular engineering skills) had the box opened and the chair assembled in fewer than 10 minutes. The instructions are amazingly clear - the Boon copywriter is a genius. I then placed my 6.5 month old daughter (16 lbs., 27.5 in) in the seat and secured her with the straps. I can see where a shorter baby may not be adequately restrained with only the straps, as the straps at their shortest were almost a bit loose. But the tray popped on and I was much more comfortable with the safety factor. Some reviewers have written that they weren't pleased with the two handed tray operation, but I have no trouble at all removing the tray with only one hand. This chair includes two removable plastic trays that are very convenient to pop in the dishwasher; actually, even if two of the top (clear)trays are dirty, the actual bottom tray is still usuable on its own. This high chair is an absolute breeze to clean up. Sure, it's not as padded as some other brands, and it doesn't recline, but I am not raising my daughter to learn to eat her meals in a Barcalounger. I want her upright and engaged in the business of eating, and then I want to clean her and her seat with a minimum of effort. My old high chair required a time consuming crevice search with the vacuum and a lot of surface area cleanup with the Clorox wipes. This chair is an environmentally friendly damp washcloth wipe and I'm done. Woo-hoo! Plus, the small tray is teaching her to confine her food to a reasonable area - we eat out a frew times a week, and it's important that our baby not monopolize all available table space. Oh, and the straps are easily removable and washable. In short, this is a great high chair and I highly recommend it!

I just got my Boon Flair today and it is just what I expected and more based on other reviews. Love the pink, it's totally fun. So easy to put together and we put it to use right away. As I had read, the straps do not fit smaller children. My baby girl is about 6 months old, 27 inches and about 14-15 pounds. She can sit in the chair fairly well, but the straps will not tighten enough around her shoulders. Even though the straps do not fit perfectly she was still comfortable and secure. She will grow into the straps in a few months. I was concerned having bought this sight unseen that the tray would be difficult to get off but it is so easy. It's made for right handed people, I'm a lefty and still had no trouble getting it on and off with one hand. The chair glides smoothly on our cork flooring and it really does look great. Even though you can't fold it up and put it away like traditional high chairs, I actually prefer the fact that I can just slide it up to the breakfast bar and leave it there as a piece of furniture. I would definitely recommend this product based on my initial reactions. We will see how things go as baby girl gets bigger and older.

Great High Chari,

This is our first high chair for our first child. It took only 10 minutes to set the chair up from box to first use. Put the base down, push the pole into the base, screw in five screws to attach to chair & two for the nice looking cover and we were in business. The directions were clear and concise. The pneumatic lift works very well as we could move our daughter up and down with ease. The wheels on the base were perfect for moving the chair around the kitchen and the locking mechanism worked as expected. We also like the restraints, foam padding for the chair and innovative removable trey. Who ever designed the Boon clearly had children of there own. After a few days of use - we really like the fact that there was no fabric to be washed and all parts could be cleaned easily. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

LOVE THIS HIGH CHAIR!,

After doing a ton of research on high chairs, I decided on this one and I am so glad I did. It is perfect! I love the hot pink color, it's way contemporary, which is my style, and it's so easy to clean (just spray some Dreft surface cleaner on it and wipe off). But most importantly, my baby girl loves it too and I know she's safe in it. She's so comfortable that she even falls asleep in it! It reminds me of an old fashioned barber's chair. The little button on the bottom allows you to easily raise or lower it and it has a brake to lock it in place. We get so many compliments on this chair from all of our friends who come over, and they ask where we got it and they want to run out and get one too! It also comes with an extra tray, which is very convenient for when one's being washed. This chair is just awesome and perfect for us and I love it! Just be careful when feeding things like tomato sauce or carrot baby food because they are harder to clean off of the white chair pad, not impossible, but harder than other foods. I think I'm going to order the orange replacement pad so it's easier to hide baby messes. I highly recommend this chair- you won't be disappointed!

Extremely Dissatisfied,

After reading all the reviews I was excited to get this hi-chair. My 13 month old hated it... The tray sat too low, it was lined up with her waist and she is tiny. In addition there was no way for her to sit up straight in it. She was at a constant recline scooting around and trying to sit up. Therefore while eating lifting the food from waist level, while being slouched back, all the food was falling on her chest. The tray is indeed too small, and only has 2 adjustable options: at the one setting is was squishing her guts and the other was too far out. The tray is also difficult to use; requiring both hands while holding the baby was challenging. We tried it out for 2 days and at the end of the two days this was returned. The only reason I even gave this 1 star was for the easy-clean up. The design is completely awkward. Thanks to Amazon for their easy return policy!

THE BEST HIGH CHAIR EVER MADE,

This review is from: Boon Flair Pedestal High Chair with Pneumatic Lift, Pink/White (Baby Product)
So, I bought this Boon high chair about 1 year ago, as of now, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! This is my 2nd child, and with my 1st I had a standard run of the mill Graco high chair, which was hard to clean in all it's nooks and crannies, and took up so much floor space, and didn't roll. This high chair is the easiest to clean baby item that we own! Let's face it, children can be messy while they eat, and not having to fuss over them making a mess is worth a million dollars! : The other selling point for me is that my daughter will be able to use this high chair as a normal chair when she gets older for years to come. The normal baby high chairs are not even close to being as versatile. My daughter is only 15 months right now, but she is the size of a two year old (at least) and she will still be able to use this chair up until the age of 4-5 years old....try and use a different high chair that long! I love being able to wheel it from the kitchen breakfast bar, to the dinning room table to the living room, or wherever! The fact that it can accommodate any height is amazing! This means I can feed her anywhere, and that is pretty awesome! You get the idea, I can't begin to say enough good things about this high chair! The ONLY neutral thing that I can say about this high chair is that if you plan on leaving your child in this high chair for long periods of time, this is probably not the high chair for you. It is well contoured and ergonomically designed, however it is not padded as much as the normal high chairs. This did not effect my family as the most my daughter sits in her high chair is about 20min- 1hour, and she seems perfectly happy! Putting it together was super easy, and only took about 10 minutes, so don't feel intimidated over that. The BEST high chair for the money that I could find! I would recommend it to any and everyone!

This high chair is great. Super easy to assemble and clean. It teaches them to eat on a smaller area than standard highchairs which makes transitioning to a table less messy.

I bought this high chair about a year ago for my baby girl, so far no problems =)
We are so happy with the quality and the looks. Everyone that comes to our house has something nice to say about this chair, they always ask where we got it from bla bla bla.... I love the fact that I can put the tray in the dishwasher, pretty easy to clean and to assembled. Very happy with this product, sorry it took me for ever to add my review.

My daughter is 7 months old and she had been using her highchair for two months now. I did alot of research before deciding on this highchair. I've probably read every review available for this highchair ;) As most people stated its a BREEZE to clean! I was given a used high chair but we were unable to use it as it was beige...and everything must be pink LOL I cleaned it before I donated it to a friend and it was a pain to say the least. The Boon Flair cleans up in less than a minute! I can even clean it with my daughter in my arms! I also read several reviews that said the tray was to too tight against the childs tummy, even on the furthest setting. Now I don't recall what ages their children were but my 7 month old has plenty of room left, even on the closest tray setting, and she's 50th percentile across the board. One person said that the tray was cumbersome and they didn't appreciate having to use both hands to remove it....with a little bit of savvy you can definitely remove the tray using only one hand. I do it all the time. Another tray issue addressed in most reviews was its size. I'm not at the toddler stage and I'm not sure how the size of the tray will work for a larger child with longer arms. But I'm sure when the time comes we'll manage just fine. I love the style of this highchair, I get MANY compliments on it! The only concerns I have about this chair are that it is a little wobbly to have a weighted base, also the brake is a little weird to operate. And the lift feature seems more of an afterthought...it doesn't lift very far. At its lowest point its not quite low enough to fit under the table and at its highest its not tall enough to scoot up to the table like a real chair. Those are the only thinks I can really say as cons for this highchair! The wheels move easily and it doesn't take up tons of space...and did I mention it came in hyper pink ;D I was sold LOL
