Looks Cool But Not Functional,
By KC "KC" (Midwest) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Boon Fluid -No-Spill Toddler Cup in Orange/Blue (Baby Product)
I bought this cup for my 15 month old son because I too love Boon products. We have the potty chair and other feeding products from Boon that we love. This cup, however, is so difficult for my son to drink from and it leaks like crazy. He has figured out how to shake it and make a nice mess on our hardwood floors :) Also the lid is so difficult to get off espeically with a screaming toddler tugging at your pants asking for more milk!!! I would skip it altogether.

Somewhat Disappointing,

OK, this sippy cup has a pretty cool design, and when I learned that it is BPA- free, I pre-ordered two of them for my 15 month old son. There are two problems with this cup. First, it is really, really difficult to get the cap off. I have resorted to using my teeth to remove the spout on several occasions. Second, it leaks like crazy. The liquid doesn't come out of the slit where the child drinks out of, but it leaks where the cup seals. Overall, I am really disappointed with this product- I guess I will have to order a few more SIGG cups for my son.

Don't Waste Your Money!,
This review is from: Boon Fluid -No-Spill Toddler Cup in Orange/Blue (Baby Product)
I bought this because it is BPA free and has a pretty cool design. I have to use my teeth to get the cap off. It seemed impossible to drink from, requiring incredible sucking strength to get any liquid out, so I used a knife to make the opening bigger. It hasn't leaked yet but I'm looking forward to that too! This cup is garbage.

Works Well for Us,
By Kim "Toddler Mom" (Grapevine, Texas USA) - See all my reviews

We bought this sippy because my son has trouble tilting his head enough to get liquid from a normal sippy. When I found out it was BPA free as well, that was just an added bonus.
It works wonderfully for us. It does require significantly less head tilt than your standard sippy. The shape of the lip area also seems to work better for him. As for the leaking, to be honest, we've never had a sippy that was leak-proof. This is no exception. When it's put directly upside down, a few drops came out and then stopped. When it was thrown onto the floor, a few drops came out then too. Maybe I'm sippy jaded, but for us, that's acceptable loss.

We bought four other brands of sippy cups before ever trying the Boon Fluid. This is BY FAR the best cup we own. In fact, we own three of these (one of each color). What I love about them is that they do not use one of those annoying valves in their attempt to be "No-spill". This one has a rubber-ish piece in the top that has a slit in it. When my daughter (14 months) sucks on it she's able to drink normally, but when she carries it upside down, only intermittent individual drips fall out (as opposed to an entire stream of milk or water). This is a major plus in our household because we've spent 6+ months learning that NO sippy cup is 100% spill-free.
We did have issues with one of the tops we purchased [no one could drink out of it, no matter how hard we (toddler and parents) sucked], but after a quick call to Boon Customer Service, we received a replacement top in the mail 3-4 days later which has been working perfectly.

My daughter is in love with this sippy,

My friend and I try to avoid BPA and she bought this cup for her daughter. Everytime we got together my toddler ended up snatching it up. So she gave us one of hers. Now Eva and the sippy are inseperable. And I can get her to drink anything if I put it in this cup. It does leak a tiny bit but not bad. I think it works much better than some of the other BPA free cups I have tried like Sigg and Born Free.

We love this cup. I went back and bought 4 more after the initial 2 that I bought for my toddler twins. I read the reviews and was a little worried when the cups arrived but wow was I surprised!!
I had to stop and think to myself... what on earth is wrong with the other moms' reviews?? Are they dumb or what?? The cup does not require you to use your teeth to open it...it simply pops off at the lip. One side of the top is flat and the other is rounded. Any person with half a brain could figure it out. I never need pliers, my teeth, or any other type of tampering instrument to open these sippies!! It is painless and quuick. ignore the other reviews. They have a cute design, the kids love it. It is easy to carrt. It can be used with "no throw" sippy leashes. It is easy to wash. Easy to fill. Easy to drink from. There is no leaking. They do drop some from the lid but not excessively. If you find it to be leaking..take off the lid and reattach in the other direction. Push down til it feels like it is on tight.

Wretched.,
This review is from: Boon Fluid- No-Spill Toddler Cup in Pink/White (Baby Product)
I was so excited about this cup in principle- no chemicals, easy grip, cute. Within minutes it had become an epic disaster. First of all, the plastic looks and feels cheap. It's not flexible, but it's not as hard as the standard playtex sippy cups... it was just hard enough to be unpleasant and difficult to use. It was a little too wide for a small hand to comfortably grip, so my daughter dropped it repeatedly, thus defeating the purpose for the harder to clean shape. The top was almost impossible to get off, and unless you took a long time to carefully set it down and then took care not to breathe on it, it wouldn't stand up on its own. But the true fatal error of this cup is that it leaks abominably. I'm not talking about a couple little drops, either: it was practically pouring out. Now if this had been a one dollar sippy purchased at Walmart, I would think I'd gotten what I'd paid for, but for the asking price, I just about expect it to sing to me. No good, Boon. No good.

Great as a toddler cup and my daughter loves it!,

This is not spill proof! It does drip a bit if you turn it upside down. That's why its a toddler cup and not a training cup. I don't know why people get so frustrated that it "leaks." Its not actually a leak, its meant to drip...its not a bottle.
First off, my daughter loves holding this. She is 9 months old and this is our at home cup for now since its not spill proof. She thinks its a great cup and it keeps her busy when I'm cleaning up from her meal. I love this cup because it is easy to clean, has TWO parts and not 5 or 6 things to go missing like some cups and its made by Boon so I know its BPA free and safe to use. :) I've never had issues getting the top on or off and it stays on nicely. I really didn't think I'd like this cup after some of the reviews but for the price, give it a try. You'll probably love it!

We love the Boon products for our grandson but after reading the reviews for this cup, I was wary of buying it. After trying several others that got rave reviews and my grandson hated them all, I gave in and bought one - am I glad I did! Jaden LOVES this cup and can use it all by himself at age 1 with NO leaking and he doesn't pull the top off! I immediately bought 3 more! I think he likes it better than the rest because the spout is not soft so he doesn't try sucking on it like a bottle nipple - the liquid slot opening is just the right size so he gets the right amount of fluid w/o choking. Boon has done it again, great products that don't disappoint!
