5.0 out of 5 stars Great toddler utensils!
I love these utensils for our 16 month old. They are well made, comfortable to hold and clean easily. The spoon is the perfect size for his mouth and is a good step up from a baby spoon.

My 2.5 year-old has been using this set for just over a year. The spork just does not make sense to me. I realize that some folks do not want toddlers to use a sharp point fork, but these tines made this one useless as a fork. The set is essentially two spoons (one just looks a little like a fork). The worst part about this set is the durability. The grippy handle of mine seems to have melted a little in the dishwasher and has food particles imbedded in it (I think it is tea leaves). Gross. I am much more satisfied (though also bummed at the cost of) the oxo set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best "SAFE" fork out there, July 3, 2008
After trying many of the brands, this fork is does 2 things really well, it stabs the food and it is not pointy. Others were too pointly for learning hands and the rest just didn't pick up food.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too big for my nine month old, March 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love the look and feel of these spoons, but the round shape is too big for my daughter's small mouth. Difficult to get her to open so wide to fit it, so I end up making a mess everywhere. I would suggest using these only when they are able to feed themselves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great feeding set for toddlers!, February 1, 2009
This spork and spoon set are great for little hands. My toddler is very independent and wants to feed himself almost exclusively. The handles are a little long for younger eaters and are a little to straight, but my son is very adept at using them now. They have survived many trips in the top of my dishwasher and are no worse for the wear. I highly recommend these spoons and this brand in general.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice quality, September 3, 2008

My grandson has been wanting to feed himself. We watched in fear whenever he grabbed a fork. Not with these. They are very safe for a little one learning to feed himself. The fork won't stab food, but at least it won't stab him or anyone sitting by him either! They are easy for him to hold.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great practicing utensils for toodlers, October 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Boon Modware Toddler Utensils, Blue and White (Baby Product)
We purchased the Blue and White version. The color was a tiny bit darker than the picture shown in the preview. It's very nice looking. Both the spoon and fork are soft and bendable.

The grip is not too large for our son (1 year 1 month), and fit around his hand perfectly.

Never using any type of utensils to feed himself before, he was able to grab the spoon and swung it around a bit. After a day of "practice" and guiding his hand on what he should be doing, he was able to push the food around. Eventually, he was able to scoop cut-up food from the food tray, but not able to feed himself, yet. With additional practice, I can see him feeding himself with the spoon, and us not having to worry about him poking his eyes out.

The fork tips aren't sharp, so it's very hard to use it to poke food. I don't see him using the fork for anything but scooping food. So, we'll probably skip the fork all together, and just stick with the spoon.

As a practice tool, I think it was worth every penny. They are also pretty easy to clean, just soap and water and all the grease comes right off.

I just wish it came with 2 spoons instead, since the fork is pretty much useless.

4.0 out of 5 stars The spoon is great the fork is useless, August 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was looking for a set that my 20 month old would enjoy using. She loved using the spoon but really hates the fork... I don't know if there is a single functional toddler fork out there but this one for sure is pretty useless if your child is trying to use it the way a fork was intended to be used. I got these with the Boon Catch Bowl - Toddler Bowl with Spill Catcher in Pink/White and the Silikids Universal Standard Small Siliskin, Lime to get my toddler fully independent. All has worked tremendously well for me so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars cute looking but not that useful, July 7, 2009
This is a cute set but the fork hardly catches anything. The quality is good but for someone who is just learning to self feed, I would not recommend this fork.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Practical, June 25, 2009
By
Bought these at Target the other day. Looked very cool and chemical free peaked my interest. Got them home and the kids tried to use them...a 1 1/2 yr old and a 3 yr old. They are bendable, which in theory is nice, but when in use they are constantly moving. IDK...didn't work for us. I was bummed.
