I was so excited to purchase this rubber ducky for my 1 year old daughter. As an environmental engineer, I bought it because it is phthalate, PVC, and BPA-free. Unfortunately, this duck filled with water as soon as we began using it, and there is no way to get the water out. My daughter wasn't interested in it either because it doesn't squeek and it is very hard. I threw it out and have decided to keep looking for a safe rubber ducky.

I was soo excited when I ordered Jane for our little girl. I loved the bright colors and the fact that its PVC free. Unfortunately, Jane arrived broken, with no bottom piece. Thus, when we put Jane in the water, she doesn't float too well. If she tips over, she capsizes. I'm living overseas so it would probably cost more to ship it back than the duck is worth. Normally I'm happy with my purchases through Amazon but this one was NOT good at all.

When looking for items with positive aesthetic appeal my wife and I came across the Boon ducks, three weeks later we have them all. They are wonderful little table ornaments whilst waiting for the next swim in the pond with our little one. They are charming little fellas, but what makes them even better is that we have the piece of mind that they made with non harmful materials.

One bad thing though.. These guys do not ship well in the heat, twice we have had the rubber stoppers located on the bottom of the Boons come off from glue melting in the heat while being shipped.

I bought this for my daughter when she was a year old and she loves it! I was looking for a nontoxic bath toy that didn't get moldy inside, like other rubber duckies. It floats very well and she likes chewing the beak and playing with it in the bath. Sometimes when I shake it, I think I hear a little water in it, but it doesn't appear to leak out so I'm not too concerned - it's got to be better than the other squirties and rubber ducky toys. I would recommend this bath toy to others.
