We don't mean to mouth off, but let's be real about how mesh feeders can be a real mess and difficult to clean. Our silicone teething feeder has some bite to it; allowing for easy feeding with its interior firm stem that forces food out where babies can get to it. It's simple to clean and more durable than mesh feeders. Boon totally has a handle on baby's snack time and when something is this good, we think it's okay to get a little mouthy about it.

Easy to clean.

Also, you can put frozen fruit on there which is great for when they're teething.

So much better than the mesh feeders that do not come clean.

I received this feeder as a gift, and just recently started using it. My 6-months old baby loves it! I read through the reviews and decided to offer these in perspective

1. Many reviewers complained that it can be easily opened and are dangerous for babies in that regard. I found this to be true ONLY when you overstuffed the feeder. When moderately filled, it as tight as it could be and will need some kind of force to pull open.

2. Some also complained about the small amount that this feeder can hold. In my opinion, this is a perfect size for my baby's mouth, and not too heavy for my baby to hold it by himself. But if you're purchasing this item thinking that it will be handy to feed a hungry baby, then yes, the small size might be an issue. I used this only to provide snacks for my baby in between his meals (plus slowly introducing fruits into his diet). If he's hungry, I'll spoon him all the food he needs via the traditional way, not by using this feeder.

Other pros - easy to clean, and holds great on baby's hand, fun colors too. I love it so much that I ordered a second one.

Good luck in deciding if this is something that suits your baby's needs.

Came across this and several other silicone feeders when looking for a solution to the mesh food feeders widely available (Munchkin 2 Pack Fresh Food Feeder, Colors May Vary), which to me anyway, were impossible to clean and which I considered disposable. I did order several silicone feeders including:

Boon Pulp Silicone Feeder,Blue/Orange
[Award Winning] Kidsme Food Feeder (Large size)
Clevamama Clevafeed

I really do like the Boon silicone feeder, the ergonomic handle is easy for my baby to grasp, and the holes are big enough that whatever you put in there doesn't actually have to be pureed. I usually put a strawberry or banana ("slippery" foods that my 11 month old can't pick up), and he will chew on it for a few hours.

I like the rounder shape better than the other feeders, particularly the Kids me feeder, which is much longer and thinner.

Clean up is easy, just rinse and dry, and the snap on/off silicone part is fantastic.
Would buy again.

I bought this when my twins were learning how to eat solids. I found the best way to use this is to freeze some fruit puree in it and it kept them entertained in their high chair for 20-30 minutes. The only things I didn't like about this is that you cannot put more than 2 tablespoons of puree in there and sometimes it's hard to snap it open and close. Otherwise, it's simple and easy to wash.

The cap is not very secure and would be better designed with a locking feature because it can pop off very easily spilling the food inside and giving the baby access to bulk amount.

Didn't use these very much, the silicone pod is kind of too big for a small baby's mouth, and by the time they are big enough they are already eating actual solids. Easy to clean.

I have both the Boon Pulp and Kisdme silicone feeder (large). I far prefer the Kidsme of the Boon, and here are a few reasons why:

*Silicone: Boon is thicker, making it harder for my LO to get the food out. This may be a benefit in the future, though, because I don't see her teeth being able to tear the Boon like they could the thinner Kidsme.
*Eating: Boon is much wider and makes a much bigger mess than the Kidsme because she can't get the whole top in her mouth at once. Kidsme is thinner and she can stick the whole thing in and chew on it to get the juices/food out.
*Messiness: Kidsme is less mess to fill. You have to use two hands on the Boon to get it closed (one supporting the filled cup), which drips whatever is in the end onto your hands.
*Capacity: I think they're about similar. The Boon is harder to fill, though, because you have to estimate the space that the orange center takes up or else it won't close, especially when using firmer foods like melon.
*Grip: Boon has a better stick to hold.
*Cost and availability: Boon definitely wins.

Overall, I will take the Kidsme large feeder over the Boon any day (but I'd take the Boon over a mesh feeder). I really don't like using the Boon, as I feel it is harder to fill, messier for her and me, and not as practical. I really wish the Kidsme didn't cost so much, though! For reference, my LO is a year old now, and has used the Kidsme since she was 8mo old or so. The Boon still seems too big for her mouth.

We bought this item as an alternative to another silicone feeder which we really liked. However that other silicone feeder just wasn't big enough for our growing boys. We like that this one was bigger and held more fruit. The bad part is, this feeder has no method for locking handle to silicone. It has a plastic ring that clicks everything together, but within seconds of using it for the first time my (at the time 11 month old) sons were able to take it apart and mashed up banana was everywhere.

In addition all feeders for infants/toddler should have some opening for a tether or lanyard so that the feeder can be held/attached in place. As soon as my sons are done with their feeders they are thrown or just dropped and when we are using them in the stroller that means the feeders are generally. After the few times this happened and we lost feeders we finally started looking every 5 minutes or so to make sure the boys still had them.

Overall I was disappointed in this products use, but the size was good.
