It's rare to re-mention a title which has been on the market for some time; but then, it's rare to find a title which has relatively few competitors on the market even years after its publication MEASURING AND JUDGING BIG GAME is such a title, however: it's an ongoing recommendation for the serious big game hunter seeking a manual to improve upon field judging skills. Spiral binding lends to lay-flat take-along use, making it an easy choice for hunters who have in past only had large-size cumbersome references to consider. 288 pages pack in everything the hunter needs to score a trophy, from charts and directions to illustrations covering all big game recognized by the Club's Records Program. From black and white photo analysis to charts and diagrams, it doesn't get better than this.

My husband has been wanting to learn how to measure per B&C guidelines ever since we bought property in the country. He has been studying and is getting a real feel for measuring some of the bucks we're seeing. (No hunting there, so it's frustrating to say the least, but he's getting so he can guestimate points so he is getting to have some fun.)

The book if perfect, with all the information you need to judge the size of a throphy before you shoot an animal that should be over look until next year. The book answered all my questions about what is and what is not a trophy size elk. I now feel like my next elk hunt will be a new learning experience. All elk look big when you first see them, you have to be able to tell the difference. It may take years to get a tag so don't waste it on a smaller elk. Read this book and you will find the information on all the game listed will be helpful.........
