Product Description

The Zoomer is designed for the smallest riders. Most children can start riding a Zoomer on or soon after their second birthday. If your child's inseam is at least 14" and he or she can walk without assistance, then they are ready to ride. The adjustable seat and handlebars allow the bike to grow with your child until they are 5 or 6 years old.

My 3 year old had no interest in riding a bike until he got his Boot Scoot. With no pedals to hurt his legs when he fell, it was easy to encourage him to get up and try again. He quickly felt like he was riding a real bike and this motivates him to keep riding.

We are also using the Boot Scoot with our 5 year old, who has Down Syndrome & Autism. It's been a great way for her to gain strength, confidence, and a feeling of independence. We take it to therapy and her Physical Therapist works with her on riding it.

All kids need success to motivate them, and the Boot Scoot makes it easy for children to succeed at riding a two wheeled bike.

Tip: start using the Boot Scoot indoors if you have carpet. The falls are more gentle, and the drag of the carpet makes it easier for the kids to control the steering and front wheel. Once they seem comfortable handling the Boot Scoot, move it outside.

I ordered 2 Bootscoot bikes for our (5 and 2.5 yr olds), 1 Zoomer & 1 Cruiser.

The Zoomer is lightweight and yet feels solid. My 2.5 yr old son can reach the floor on his toes, even at the lowest setting, but he is happy to scoot it along slowly. He has outgrown his Step2 plastic motorcycle and was starting to go TOO fast on that thing. This bike should be great for him in a couple months as he grows into it. He is only 25% for his height.

I knew the bike came with hardened rubber wheels, but I was hoping for a little more traction. It looks a little cheap but at least we hadn't spend a fortune on these bikes. The logo is a sticker and not painted on - a lil surprising for a bike that retails at $80+.

My main complaint is that the bike came missing 1 small part, but we need it for the wheel not to be wobbly. My husband is currently deployed so I thought I'd start some of Santa's work early. It's a good thing I did cuz had I waited til xmas eve to build both bikes I would've been really frustrated. The kids are bummed not to be able to take the bike outside for a few days, but at least it's not THE toy they were hoping for xmas morning.

Would it have hurt for the company to include a small pack of spare parts? It would've cost a few cents and provided a safety net for some quality control issues.

We received the Boot Scoot quickly but were a little disappointed when it was too tall for my son (27 months). We knew this might be an issue because he has short legs. For now, we've taken the seat off and he likes to walk around with it in the house...hopefully his legs will be long enough by the end of the summer to start riding it!
