Product Features

  • Group six or more balls of the same color in the honeycomb
  • Maneuver quickly and accurately and don't let the board fill with balls
  • Play with different fruits and flowers rather than colored balls

Product Description

BeeCells is a highly enjoyable game. Once you start, you won’t want to stop. Try it, and see how high you can score. The goal is to group six or more balls of the same color together. Once the balls are grouped, your score increases, and the grouped balls disappear to make room for more maneuvers. After each turn, your phone puts more balls on the board and your task becomes more difficult. The game is over when the board completely fills up. BeeCells has colorblind mode with fruits and flowers instead of balls. There are also different color skins. Enjoy the game!

Watch what you're giving up To play this game, you are giving away a lot including your IMEI number and your browsing stats. Using SWARM (how appropriate in a Bee game- it'll bite you in the as*) this developer can track your contracts, personal information, browsing habits- and don't even get me started on the Facebook permissions. Once you let a developer like this into your Facebook account you may as well go ahead and assume they know who all your friends are and are quickly trying to get their habits too. For more info on SWARM technology and what it does, visit their site swarm connect .com.

The game itself is glitchy, it runs in the background and when you're playing it freezes and shuts off. When it does work, it's nothing more than one of those chase your tail games. There is no real way to win, it's just a 6 match game. There are no in game tutorials if you run into a problem, so read that before you play.. not that it's comprehensive or anything.

Deleting.

This game has a lot of stuff you don't want, and is missing some stuff you do want.

Once you start this game there is no way to stop it unless you kill it with a task manager or restart the device. POOR programming practice! This means it also ignores the 'back' command. While it has, sort of, instructions these instructions aren't available once you start a game; this doesn't matter much, though, because the included instructions are nearly useless. However, you can change the background to one of eight choices, and you have the choice of two different game piece styles. You can also turn the sound effects on or off. The developer has focused on the wrong things here and his his or her priorities backward.

In a nutshell, this is a game that you don't win but try to not lose for as long as possible. You move one item to try to make a group or string of six or more colors (or icons, depending on mode), and after you move the game adds several more items randomly on the board. When you successfully make that six or more match, they disappear and you're allowed to make another move before the game adds more items.

Sadly, this game has a couple of other things you don't want: "SWARM" which is an OpenFient replacement, and Facebook developer tools, which connects the game to Facebook. (Why???) The game is pretty boring, especially since there is no difficulty setting and the graphics are subpar on a tablet. This game picks up your phone number, IMEI number, etc., which presumably is passed to SWARM. NO thanks!

Still, I'd give it two stars if it weren't for the SWARM garbage.

SUMMARY: Pass. You aren't missing anything except annoyances and SWARM nastiness.

This game is just a waste of time. It is boring and there is not possibility to play the game and win. You get to move one ball and when you get a group of 6 they disappear. Unfortunately the game adds multiple balls for every one you move so ultimately losing is only a matter of time as the board fills up. If the piece you want to move is surrounded by balls you cannot move it outside of the circle of balls even if the surrounding balls are in a loose circular pattern. All of the advantages are in the game's favor. It is boring and no fun at all. In very short order you have no moves to make. In addition the graphics are so basic as to be bland.

My suggestion is to not waste your time. When you get tired of the game and try to hit the exit arrow (Back arrow) it doesn't work so the game has no off switch that I could find.

Top that off with a piece of software called Swarm that is built into the game. It wants you to sign up to add leaderboards, achievements, monetization, and social features to mobile games and apps. You know the term monetization don't you, IAP, In App Purchases from a software addin that tracks your device ID. It also wants your Facebook data.

This game is not fun and at best it is a two star item for having no off button and poor graphics. Swarm makes it one star as I just hate in app items like Swarm. I deleted the game and now I have to connect my Kindle Fire to my computer to see if they left Swarm on it as a present!

1.0 out of 5 stars No Exit Button and Bogus 5 Star Reviews November 4, 2013

Read through the cookie cutter, repeated and simply bogus 5 Star reviews. Deceptive practice you would expect from a game that has no exit option and stays running in the background.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Polished and Shady Developer November 4, 2013

This app stays running in the background and has no option to exit the game properly. This is a shady practice. The game lacks a polished feel to it.

This is a matching game. A hexagonal grid is displayed, shapes (flowers, fruit, dots, etc), a few at a time, randomly appear on the grid. You have to move them one at a time, by tapping, to group six or more together, at which point they disappear. There has to be a continuous path from the original location of the shape to the new location. The challenge is as the grid gets more and more crowded, it will become difficult or impossible to find a clear path. When the grid is full ('cause the randomly placed shapes keep coming, several at a time), the game is over. You are scored by how many shapes you removed from the grid.

One review said there were instructions, but I never found any.

There is no way to exit except by hitting the home button. I deleted the app from my cloud after testing. Cannot recommend this at all.

I can't speak to the tracking software reported in other reviews, but if it's there, that's a major negative too.

I gave it an two stars because I think the game could be fun if the major flaws were fixed.
