I thought this CD was great. The first Marc Broussard song that I heard was actually I live recording, and I was a little disappointed after picking his "Carencro" album to hear that a lot of his songs were more Clay Aiken-ish than bluesy. If you like real blues, buy this record.

Here is what I think happened: After this show,someone handed the board tape over to Marc and his people. "Hey this is pretty good." "Yeah, Marc was in good form tonite" "Yeah, a couple of the cuts are flawed so lets not use those" "What can we do with the remaining ones?" "Lets use them as a fundraiser for the displaced folks in the Katrina aftermath" "Solid." And the ep is very much that. Solid. You are already a M.B. fan. Then buy this for both reasons.

I don't know how to start this. This man can sing! I'm am so moved by his amazing tone. My first favorite from his "come in from the cold" was enough to make me cry. I sometimes sit in my driveway close my eyes and listen to him sing. Gavins Song, Blue Jeans, The beauty of who you are. I can go on and on. And, no I don't know him personally. He makes you wish you did when he sings the Donny Hathaway favorite "I'll love you more than you ever know" Simply outstanding. In Love in Calabasas T Watkins

The bootleg is okay - if you really want to see Marc's talent, get the CARENCRO CD. I love him - he is so talented. I saw him in concert and he does not disappoint.
If you like blues, jazz and soul - you will love Marc Broussard.

Awesome cd for anyone whos a Marc Broussard fan. He really gets into this show.
