Apart from one track on a pretty awful gospel compilation album, this was my introduction to the music of Larry Norman and my first exposure to 'christian ' Music that wasn't a hymn, anthem or chant! That was back in 1975 and of course a lot has changed since then. Larry has come and , sadly, gone. Christian music has sadly, become an 'industry' instead of a ministry....and apart from Keith Green, no-one has had a greater impact on my spiritual development and the growth of countless others, than Larry Norman. This is Larry at his rawest and some might say his finest. This is crucial music and to my mind, essential listening. It should be required listening for anyone who aspires to step out on any stage to sing for Jesus... Many of these songs were subsequently re-recorded (some more than once) but it remains a wonderful montage of a day and time when nothing else mattered than the truth.
