Great portable crate.,
This review is from: Boots & Barkley® Large Pop Open Dog Kennel (Misc.)
I use this kennel to transport my puppy (Bernese Mtn Dog) to and from work in my car and to keep him in my office (he is crate training). It has worked great. At home, it is his "play pen" and I leave the zipper open while he runs in and out of it playing with his toys. He has taken it upon himself to store ALL his toys in there. At first, he was reluctant about being inside the crate and used his paws complete with sharp puppy claws to try to force himself out. He also tried to chew on the outer edges and find the zipper to open it. With proper training and patience, he now knows it's his "home" and respects it. No damage was done to the crate from his fits. I don't leave him in this crate unsupervised for more than 15 minutes so I cannot attest to how it will hold up during frustrating periods (he has a heavy duty night crate in his bedroom which he does dig at during the night when playing with his Kong). Right now, he has plenty of space for his toys and a bed and mostly sleeps in it. As previously mentioned, in the car, it keeps him put, but I don't use the seatbelt loops since it is a little big for strapping in lengthwise and didn't bother trying. I can't seem to fold it back to its original small round size, but I can easily fold it flat, which makes it easy to carry and store. It's not a permanent crate for him. It's a temporary spot for him to be safe during the day and properly potty train.

Which is kinda funny, so maybe that's a feature.,

We use a car sharing service that requires dogs to be kept in a carrier when they are in the car.Np problem. This fits in my backpack. Me and the dog walk to pick up a car, fold the backseat flat; in goes the crate, in goes the dog. Return the car; fold up the crate, lint roll whatever dog hair the crate did not contain. Everyone is happy. The problems, which aren't really problems, are: Learning to collapse the crate is weird, once you learn how and have done it a few times it's easy...but not intuitive. Don't lose the instructions. The material is slippery so if you use the crate in the car, the dog will slide in turns. Oh, and when you take the dog to swim in the ocean, if the material is exposed to saltwater the red dye will come off on the dog. If your dog is white, like mine, parts of him will be pink for a few days. Which is kinda funny, so maybe that's a feature. Last thing: we have had ours for well over a year, collapsing it and opening it 6-10 times a week, its still in great shape.

Very convenient, but not very sturdy. Also, you need to put something in the bottom as it is just nylon - nothing else.
