What's in the Book ?
The book has 47 pages that contain note- for-note transcriptions, and info on the following:
Bootsy, the author (Karl Kaminski), the history of the "Space Bass" which includes its inception and transformations throughout the years. Booty's road rigs, and his Sunglasses (twinkle, twinkle).
Before each of the transcriptions there is a brief history about the song, which may also include info about the effect that was used by Bootsy to create a particular sound,i.e delay/echo pedal(s), on the original song.Read more ›
The song tabulature & disc playback are broken up into their individual parts (i.e.: Intro groove, verse, chorus, bridge, etc.) which makes practicing the individual pieces MUCH easier being that this format allows you to simply loop or repeat the parts continuously without breaking your playing flow. The section on the man's "gear set-up" was pretty cool, showing you all of the effects and "paths" used by Bootsy to obtain his sound. Totally Greek to me, but will probably make sense to me one day, as is usually the case when learning continuously.
In short, Man, I love it!!
