We are pleased with the Booyah Dog Bike Trailer but not overwhelmed. The unit is big enough for our 35 lb Tibetan Terrier but we have serious doubts about it handling dogs beyond 50 lbs...without squishing them in. We have never bought a bike trailer before so don't have frames-of-reference but we would have thought this was a medium-sized trailer.....we bought the large. The package indicated it is the large trailer - so no mistake made. The other drawback we have encountered is that there is not sufficient distance beween the walls of the cart and the wheels to prevent rubbing when the dog leans up against the side of the cart. Our dog likes to lie up against one of the walls and whenever he does that, there is rubbing. I am having to stop and shift him. It doesn't happen so often that I am regretting the purchase - nor do I know if other trailers would be built in such a way that this would be avoided. If I knew then what I know now, I might have called manufacturers to discuss the issue....not easily done with Internet purchases.
Other than these two issues, the trailer is terrific. Its well constructed, easy to assemble, functions easily and well with the dog and is sporty looking. Hopefully Booyah reads constructive feedback and tweaks product construction over time. Overall we are pleased with the purchase and glad we made it.
We set it up and my pug went in it for the first time for the breast cancer walk. He absolutely loves it! He brings in his toys has room for a blanket, and it has storage for me and a cup holder. Love it!
This was a gift for my sister & brother-in-law's dog, Ranger. Unfortunately, the item could not be enjoyed because it was not only too big for Ranger, it was also way too big for my family to push around. At least if they get too tired, they could take turns sitting in it! Although the vendor is willing to exchange the item, they want me to pay HALF the purchase price of the stroller in shipping costs alone! $200 for a stroller not even used. Then, they had the audacity to advise me I'm better off selling it on ebay or craigslist.
