5.0 out of 5 stars My new best friend!
I am now almost 5 months pregnant and was waking up every morning with back pain and hip pain from not sleeping comfortably. I tried a regular pillow between my legs, but found it was not enough support. I then saw this pillow in Babies R Us and bought it. I LOVE it! I love how it's all in one, a pillow to support my belly and for in between my legs to keep my hips...

3.0 out of 5 stars it is okay....
I bought this pillow early on in my pregnancy. Although it continues to help me (I am 26 weeks now), and I still sleep with it, the stuffing has started to separate, especially in the part that goes between the legs. Also, the pillow is not long enough, I have to use an additional pillow to put my arms around and cuddle with.

I am now almost 5 months pregnant and was waking up every morning with back pain and hip pain from not sleeping comfortably. I tried a regular pillow between my legs, but found it was not enough support. I then saw this pillow in Babies R Us and bought it. I LOVE it! I love how it's all in one, a pillow to support my belly and for in between my legs to keep my hips aligned. I like the softness of the pillow and it's not too big and offensive that it kicks my husband out of bed. It's easy to roll with me from side to side in the middle of the night and now I also use it to sit up in bed at night when I read.

I think this is a great product especially considering it is cheaper then some of the other products on the market and it provides support right where I need it so I don't need 5 different pillows or wedges to support me and my growing belly. I definitely recommend it to anyone!

3.0 out of 5 stars Stuffing not packed tight enough, May 10, 2006

I got this when I was about 6.5 months pregnant after my husband said the my back was sore in the morning was that my belly was pulling it out of alignment. At first I was a bit confused as to how this pillow would help, but I managed to stuff a bit of it under my belly and it seemed to do the trick.

However, there is a lot of excess pillow not being used for support, and it takes up bed space. I'm now eight months pregnant and find that I don't need it as much as my belly is big enough to touch the bed itself when I'm lying on my side and therefore not pulling on my back. I find the stuffing to be quite loose (as in the pillow case should be sewn smaller) and it does shift and pack down - especially on the leg portion. (I am 5'2" and about 150 at this point, so I imagine it would be worse for a larger person.)

If I was doing it over again, I think I'd try the wedge instead.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than nothing but consider others., March 3, 2006

Before I bought this pillow I read the reviews and thought it would be a decent purchase. I first got it when I was about 4 or 5 months pregnant because my belly was already large and I needed more support under the belly and between the leggs. Now I am 34 weeks pregnant and already unhappy with it. I have never washed the pillow because I didn't want it to seperate like other users have experienced. Instead I invested in the additional slip covers and washed those. However the pillow has still come compleatly seperated under the leggs. Also now that my belly is even bigger I am finding that the stuffing has moved to the top and won't fit under me. My husband does not like the pillow (although he won't tell me so) because it is hard for him to cuddle me and it stills all his covers. In addition the pillow limits the amount of movement because it catches on the sheets and pulls everything with it, and I find that when I sleep without it my body tempurature is about 10 deg cooler and that is more comfort than the pillow.

For better hip support try the wedge. It is less expensive and doesn't seperate, but still gets the job done. For more belly support try an old fashoned feather pillow. They mold and expand as a pregnant belly does.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good idea, August 21, 2010

This would work very nicely for me if it was a little smaller. I'm about 5' 4" and the pillow is a little to big for me. But the shape of the pillow makes it easy to place between the knees and under the belly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Nursing Pillow, August 31, 2008

This is marketed as a pregnancy pillow. I tried to use it to support my growing belly, but, it was too uncomfortable. When my baby was born it worked great as a nursing pillow. The curve of the pillow is perfect and big enough to fit any size person, unlike the normal boppy pillows. And, this pillow is thicker at the bigger end so it has the perfect slope to put the babies head at the bigger end, and babies feet at the smaller end, which makes it so easy to nurse a baby. The pillow lifts the baby up to the perfect height to reach the breast. This pillow is large enough that the baby will not roll off the pillow while feeding, and can be used until the baby is about 2 years old.

I tried this pillow and couldn't get it situated to where I was any more comfortable. Pass this up and go for a Snoogle. It's a little more money, but worth it for the better night's sleep.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this pillow!!!, December 31, 2005
This review is from: Boppy Cuddle Pillow with Cotton Slipcover, Sage Circles (Baby Product)
I got this pillow when I was 7 months pregnant and tired of uncomfortable, sleepless nights! I didn't think I needed a pregnancy pillow and held out as long as I could without one, but after several months of back pain and trying to sleep with pillows tucked under my tummy, back, head, feet, and inbetween my legs, I gave in and purchased this pillow! It is the best purchase I have made in years, it saved me!!! I love the way it fits just perfectly under my tummy and then goes inbetween my knees, this kept my spine straight and reduced my back pain.

And I have to admit, afer having my baby 2 months ago I am still sleeping with this pillow and using it to rest my baby on while nursing! It has lost some of its shape and fluff after being washed a couple of times, but it fits just perfect to my body! I am sold, thank you boppy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good concept, poorly stuffed, February 10, 2011

I was excited to finally get this in the mail. I think the shape is great and even though I am tall and have a long torso, it adequately fit from my knees to my belly. However I was very disappointed with how poorly stuffed it was upon arrival! My knees were still touching each other with the pillow in between them and it did not provide much support to my 5 month belly. I like the shape and idea, so I'm going to get some fill stuffing, and take it apart a bit and add some stuffing to my comfort. Not something I had expected to do for a $30 purchase, but it would cost too much to ship it back.

5.0 out of 5 stars WONDERFUL for breastfeeding using football hold!, July 20, 2010
I had to breast feed exclusively using the football hold for the first few months due to c-section; this pillow was my BEST option to do that. I spent weeks using other pillows in all shapes, but this pillow is perfectly curved and tapered to hug your hip. It provides an excellent elevated, angled and cozy platform for your baby to eat! It saves my back and shoulders. I place it next to me on the couch with the small end pointing at the back of the couch and place the large lobe on my knee. Since it is slightly tapered, it angles your baby into your breast so they don't roll away if they turn their head, a problem I had with regular pillows.

For traditional style feeding, in front of you on the lap, it works great too! I put my feet up on an ottoman or footrest to have a bit of elevation, place the large lobe of this pillow under the breast my daughter is going to eat from, and it angles her into the breast so she can be cozy and snug while nursing and I can have my hands free.

This would be a great shower gift for any gal, especially if she is going for a c-section! I like this shape so much better that the regular U-shaped one, two thumbs way up!
