If I could have given this 10 stars I would have. This is possibly the most versatile baby product you will ever own. I used mine from the moment my baby was first child was born, and knew it was an item I had to keep.

Here's what I used it for, and I probably didn't even think of everything:
donut for recovering from child birth (it took me 3 weeks to be able to sit comfortably)
nursing pillow
neck pillow for dad when he was bottle feeding
support for tummy time
support for baby when she's learning to sit up
snuggle pillow for big brother when baby is laying on her back

I purchased 2 different covers, including the velour which is like butter. Buy this, you won't be sorry!!

The Boppy would have 5 stars if the filling didn't flatten so quickly. My baby is four months and I'm already having to put a pillow under the Boppy for better support during nursing. (Sigh)

I believe every new parent has the "one thing they would not live without," well the Boppy is mine. I use it while breastfeeding and my husband uses it while bottle feeding. We have also used it for propping up the baby for cute pictures!

Simply put, I'm a first time mom (4 weeks old today) and I was told by lactation consultants that a boppy was a waste of money, that a pillow or two would work just fine. My sister just came in for her first visit and bought me one and I am SO HAPPY! Pillows were always shifting and sliding and I was having to hold the baby just so, anyways. Now I'm basically two handed again and it's the best!

My wife just delivered our first kid. With her tummy still relatively large and will remain so for the next few weeks, our son rests on the inside edge of the Boppy pillow. Because of the curved shape, he keeps slipping down in between my wife and the pillow while nursing. This can be rather painful when he falls out of position, which is very often.

Our pediatrician recommended MyBrestFriend pillow to us. We've used that for a few days now, and that one is much better for us because of the square edge vs the round edge on Boppy.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I am so passionate about this product, that I feel the need to share about it. As a first time mom, I used the Boppy 10-15 times a day for feeding and cuddling my son. It saved my arms and back from unnecessary strain. Now that he is almost 5 months and holding his head up great, his favorite thing to do is to be draped over the Boppy and soak in the world around him. =) I even use the Boppy as a pillow sometimes while my son is napping. It is darn comfortable! I can't say enough nice things about this item. Whoever invented it was a genius. Who would have thought that a U-shaped pillow would be so useful?!

When I began using my Boppy, I honestly didn't understand the hype. I still had to use 4+ pillows to get positioned correctly to nurse my newborn. It was a bit of a struggle too, as he would often fall down the "hole". But even so, it was quite helpful. Later, around 4 months, he was able to lay on top while nursing with no problem. It was also around the time I was able to prop him up into a lounging or sitting position on the floor. He continued to use it for support when learning to sit. My son is 8 months old now, and most ( if not all!) of his newborn stuff has gone away, but we still use this all the time! (I recently saw that they now sell a waterproof cover for it! Get one! Mine got spit up on, milk drips, and pee from leaky diapers I'm sure! Wish they had them 8 months ago!)

A note about the quality: While I absolutely love the design on the cover, both the cover material and the printing of it are surprisingly poor quality. It is not a soft cotton to begin with, but there was a snag in the cotton on mine that the printer just printed over, so I can lift the flap of fabric to reveal white where it wasn't printed. Just a small defect on mine, but for the price I was surprised to see it.

I ordered it because it's suppose to be No. 1 popular etc. But after working with my lactation consultant after birth, I find a simple thick pillow works much better than this one.
