I wanted to review this for those who are trying to decide between the full-size and travel sized model. We have twins and purchased both. There is really no comparison between the two. Both babies love the large swing. It swings so much better than the smaller one. The seat vibrates and is a little roomier than the other as well. I should say that both of these swings are totally silent when in use; no annoying clicks or cracks like my first baby's swing. Four D batteries don't last longer than a week for us. But then again, it gets used at least once every day and sometimes at night as well. Still, for twins, the travel swing's price makes one of each a good option. I hardly ever need both babies swinging at the same time.

What a disappointing purchase. The tray attachment does not latch into the manufacturer assembled seat post. (The post screws were overtightened at the factory making it so the post with the tray connection did not lie flat.) While this is not a safety issue, my older child always liked to have toys placed on the swing tray to look at/play with. As with all baby products, you are asked to contact the manufacturer regarding product problems and concerns. The manufacturer customer service center was less than helpful. After several promises to look into the problem and call me back (no one ever called), I finally gave up and decided to return the swing to Amazon. The only bright side of this purchase is that returns to Amazon are made easy and friendly.

Good product, seems to work well. My 3 week old doesnt like it too much yet but am hoping he will. Not a lot of room between the tray and legs so also hoping he doesnt grow too big for it before he gets to enjoy it.

I bought this swing on a whim without doing much research. When my baby arrived, he never really used the swing for more than 10 minutes at a time. Then, one day when he was about 3 months old, he fell in love! This swing stays in the kitchen to keep the little one entertained while I cook. He'd probably stay in it forever if I let him! After using it for 5 months, I finally had to replace the batteries. We love this swing, and have had no problems with it. I've got no complaints at all, and I'd get it again in a heartbeat.

This is a great swing. It is much more well made than some of the other swings I looked at. It is the best swing I looked at out of all of them! I love it.

We bought this swing for our first child. It has been perfect! We have had no issues with it at all. My son likes to stare at the dangling animals and reaches for them. I love the seat vibrates. We use it often! Now that my little guy is almost 5 months old, we don't use the swing very often. But it was an absolute must have in the beginning. There were many nights when we would need the swing to help him fall asleep. I can't imagine what we would have done without this swing!

I read the negative reviews, but we haven't had any problems with our swing. No battery issues, no breaking issues. My husband assembled it just fine. It's really a nice swing!

We opted for this swing over the smaller Boppy travel type swing. On assembly of the first of these swings, I got to the last step and realized that the battery compartment (the main one) was missing all of the negative and positive node springs. So the batteries would just float in there with nothing that touches them.

Realizing this was a problem, I took it back (to Babies R' Us) and the second swing was fine. Was the second one was assembled, we were ready to roll.

One of the first things we noticed is that the toys that hang down are quite high. We first chalked this up to our daughter only being in her first month so we didn't think anything more of it. The swing is quite sturdy which is nice but the base is so large that it's very tough to find a place in a house big enough so it can function and not be in the way of everything else.

But the real headache with this swing is the battery usage. Although I cannot prove it, I'm pretty sure the swing uses power, even when turned off (as opposed to the timer running out and shutting itself down automatically). We use this swing at most 3 times a week for maybe 25 minutes a time and every two weeks, the batteries run out. At first we thought it was because we had left it on timer mode which possibly used power. But on our third batch of batteries, we were dilligent and made sure we turned the swing all of the way off. However, same results. Batteries dead in two weeks. And this is using it on the 2nd - 3rd slowest swing setting. I cannot imagine how quick they would go if on the highest mode.

We've had this swing now for 4 months and our daughter still is not even close to being able to reach the toys. We ended up purchasing really nice niMh re-charagable batteries off Amazon ($70.00) because we couldn't afford to buy non-re-charagables anymore. Same result as before, two weeks max at 3 times per week and the batteries are dead. We're past the 90 day return policy so we're stuck with it. I highly recommend looking at other swings with better battery life. You'll either end up paying twice the amount of the swing in D batteries (4 of them) or you'll end up having to buy re-chargable batteries, which you have to constantly keep charged so you can switch them out every two weeks.

Save you money and find something else!

We received this for a gift & it broke after 2 weeks. It will only work on high and fast now. The baby loved it before then & still loves the high setting. If you get this make sure to save your receipt so you can get a refund in case it breaks. Other than the breaking we loved the swing it is very soft and the baby likes the sounds and music. The vibration is very loud, but we don't really use that any way.

I loved this swing! Until I had to clean it. With the other two swings I have ever owned the fabric comes off and on real easily so when it gets dirty I just pop it off, throw in the wash, and pop it back on. Well not this one! I thought I might never get it off! It took me about 15 minutes to remove all the hinges, which are really tight in there! Actually, I haven't even put it back on because I don't want to deal with it.

What baby age and what weight is it designed for? I can't tell from the description. One star for wasting my time looking for the info that isn't there.
