We've used this product for years. My husband likes to work on cars and has found this to be the best hand soap for removing grease and dirt. Boraxo is mined out of the earth and it's granular consistency works better than any other product in the removal of grease and dirt. All you do is pour a little in your hand, add water, work up a lather and rinse. If you still have some dirty spots, just add a little powder and scrub those spots, then rinse. It is a natural, organic product that is not harsh to your skin. I even use it as a facial scrub for smooth, young looking skin.

In the kitchen, Boraxo removes the smell of diced onions/garlic from hands. It has a clean fragrance and leaves skin feeling silky and smooth. My skin is sensitive and some soaps and detergents cause me to break out in a rash or in hives, not so with Boraxo.

Boraxo contains Sodium Tetraborax Decahydrate and Fine Toilet Soap. It doesn't leave your hands feeling dry or chapped the way some heavy duty hand soaps that contain fatty acids and petroleum can.

We used to buy this product when we lived on the west coast since it was originally mined in Death Valley, California, and is easily purchased in that area. After moving to Texas, we have not been able to find this product. My husband was pleased when I told him I had found Boraxo on Amazon.com and had ordered six canisters. We prefer the 12 ounce canisters over the 5 lb. box. The packaging on the canister is water resistant and the canisters hold up after extensive use, even in the shower. The 5 lb. box is cardboard and falls apart easily from wet hand usage.

I want to start out by saying that I am a big fan of Boraxo soap. I've used it since I was a kid for cleaning up after getting filthy working outdoors - the grittiness of it does a great job removing dirt and grease. The soap itself I would rate as FIVE STARS, but my problem is with the item description. Between the first listed weight (11 pounds) and the drastically reduced price, it's really easy to assume that the order is for a case of Boraxo canisters, but that's NOT what you get. It's only ONE CAN, so the price is very misleading (a single can of Boraxo usually costs around $5 at most, so the deal Amazon shows is false, you're saving a buck or two at best). If you're going to order this, I'd recommend buying multiple to try and save on shipping, because I'd say it's not worth it for the shipping costs when you're not even "saving" more than a couple dollars for a single can. I'll admit I'm pretty disappointed in Amazon with the misleading advertising on this one.

I have used this product for about 30 years and feel that nothing does a better job at cleaning my hands then Boraxo Powdered Hand soap. It gets off the grease and dirt that all others leave behind without leaving a film that needs to be washed off with other soaps.

Ive used this for about 5 years to wash my face. Sounds weird, but it really works for healthy, smooth skin!

NOT ONLY FOR HANDS,I USE IT TO EXFOLIATE LEGS, FEET, ELBOWS.
AFTER A GOOD RINSE MY SKIN IS VERY SOFT AND SMOOTH.
HIGHLY RECOMENDED.

It is hard to believe that I can still get Boraxo -- just the same as it always has been. Steadily it has been disappearing from the grocery stores. this is the real thing, well packaged. I ordered 6 so I will have some on hand.
The day I received the Boraxo I put it to work since I had been doing some heavy duty planting without gloves. As usual my hands were clean as a whistle with virtually no effort.

All hail Boraxo. Get it while you can. It was well packed andshipped promptly. No complaints.

Too bad that grocery chains and stores like Wal-Mart cannot have this in stock. Boraxo hand soap is spectacular for getting rid of grime on hands after hard work.

Wife says "Do I smell Boraxo ?" she got to looking around and then remembered we just received the new delivery "Oh the container inside the packaging is all smashed and it is loose in the envelope ." "It is spilling out of the envelope onto the floor !"

Order place on the 29th received on the 7th. I ordered a DVD set from another seller the same night, got it . . . .watched episodes from the discs that worked for a two days . . . sent it back because of a bad disc . . and received the replacement by the time this BIC order arrived. BIC waited about four days just to ship the Boraxo out. The DVDs both shipped out the next day after I ordered them.

$2.15 for the price of my Boraxo, $7.00 shipping for the least expensive possible delivery to Colorado. Does anyone notice a problem with that metric.

And despite all reasonable expectations were able to package my purchase in such a way it was, in-fact, able to be smashed and broken open. It - is - dry - soap - powder . Not fine china. Why is this so hard to accomplish in a responsible manner ? ? ?

For this you expect to get more than three times the price of my item ordered just for shipping charges ?

This product cleans okay, but is not what I thought it would be, lacking the wonderful scent of the old twenty mule team borax that I was looking for.

This soap will get off oil and dirt that laughs at ordinary hand soap. Tried the boraxo liquid soap and it's no substitute.
