Sackett's Gold, April 11, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Borden Chantry (Paperback)
There is no such book as Sackett's Gold. L'Amour was pressed for a title by his publisher for a book that he had not finished. The publisher went a head and released the name Sackett's Gold. When L'Amour finished the book he gave it the title Borden Chantry.
Every time you order the book Sackett's Gold, you will receive Borden Chantry.
Thank you.

a fine western, May 8, 2005
This review is from: Borden Chantry (Paperback)
The story is told from primarily from the point of view of marshal Borden Chantry as he tries to solve a number of puzzling murders before he ends up in boot hill. Setting is a small town in a time when the wild west is edging towards more law abiding standards. A western "police procedural" mixed with old fashioned gunslinging.
