"Domestic Dogs" is a new 8 volume series by Susan H. Gray showcasing popular breeds of dogs. Written on a second grade reading level, profusely illustrated in color, and specifically designed for use with students in grades 1 though 5, each individual, 32-page, large-print title features a reinforced library binding for extended shelf life, a table of contents, informative sidebars, detailed maps, a glossary of key words and phrases, resource lists for further research (including websites), a comprehensive index, and an introduction to the author. The individual titles comprising the "Domestic Dogs" series for school and community library Pets/Wildlife collections include: Basset Hounds ; Border Collies; Chihuahuas; Golden Retrievers; Labradors; Pugs ; Shih Tzus; and Yorkshire Terriers and are available individually as well.
