With Elton John being perhaps our first and foremost celebrity advocate for gay rights and AIDS funding, the song's timeless message takes on some deeper meaning with the recent violence towards gay teens. "He's my brother. Let him live in peace." It's what drew me back to this great little song that is usually overshadowed by all of Elton's mega-hits and radio staples. Take another look. Great stuff.

Any true Elton fan probably already owns this tune. It's one of my favorites.....If you like this song, check out the album 11-17-70, it's full of live performances from 11/17/1970

This was Elton's first hit to chart in the US. Love his piano work and love the gospel choir. It just works!

Hey, even Aretha Franklin sang it! How cool is this old song? One of Eltons' best. Can't go wrong with that.
