For show dogs,

The misleading title suggests that this is a book for anyone who owns a border terrier, but it is primarily aimed at those interested in competitions. It includes an extensive dscription and history of borders which breeders might find useful, but this is not a book for owners of companion dogs.

This book was good for the history of the breed and the breed standard; however, it was not very helpful for me as an American show-dog owner since it's a British book. Also, the drawings showing various faults were not very helpful.
