5.0 out of 5 stars Their second album goes into new territory and scores big, February 26, 2002
By
This review is from: Borderline Breakdown (Audio CD)
I wrote a review on their first album Petals and Thorns where my key point was "The music is very real, relevant and the quality of the contents and production make it something that everyone can relate and enjoy."

Borderline Breakdown scores huge in this same context and the shear musical talent of the group fronted by Sharratt and Christopher goes up another notch. This album has some truly mass market possible tunes in "Bombay" and "Summer Days". With so much slick music on the radio today that is irrelevent in its message, these 40+ year old guys form Minnesota take a foundation of solid rock and roll and show the spectrum of life from the flirtatious side of humanity in "Bombay" to the most important aspects of living in "Change of Seasons" and "Sons and Daughters". If you are a rock and roller that covets the like of James Taylor, McCartney, Sting or Billy Joel, you'll want to add this CD to your library. Remember this. These guys probably did the album on a tight budget so don't expect the production "coverups" that happen in big money bands. These guys sound like they are right on stage in front of you and that's what makes this album worth having. P.S. Playing Bombay on the highway at high volumes will put your right foot from 60mph to 90mph without much thought. That tune cranks.

This song makes you feel like your there, at a Jazz bar called the Bombay enjoying great music just like this song. I have heard the whole song and have thoroughly enjoy listening to it. In fact I have the Borderline Breakdown CD and listen to it almost everytime I'm driving. This groups has a good listening sound. Good luck and much success.
