this book is OK if you are looking for invitation borders for an art deco themed deal. in reality, the clip art is of medium quality. since Art Deco is such an over-used design style, there are many takes on the theme - it turns out that this book leans towards styles w/in art deco that are not the most interesting in my opinion. it will be great for less picky designers. the artwork is perfect for folks who are drawn to the angular American art deco styles; there is very little akin to the more post-Nouveau art deco motifs which flourished in Europe during the 20's.

I was disappointed with this book--I was expecting better quality design based on takes of classical art deco motifs. I found little to no inspiration within it and regretted paying extra $$$ for expedited shipping. I am a tapestry weaver and was looking for an art deco reference to incorporate within the design for a large scale contemporary commission. Nothing in this book was relevant, particularly inspiring, or spoke to me.

None of these borders were worth the time I spent looking at them. Must be someone elses cup of tea.

This book is OK ... but a lot of the motifs are very much the same. Some instruction on how to use them and where would have been helpful. I really wanted something to help me with a wainscoted dining room and this was not it!
