A piece of Delphi history,
By Michael R. Hassler "visit 'www.LTASYS.com'" (Conyers, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Borland news. (Borland International Inc. marketing of Borland Paradox for Windows 5.0 and SideKick for Windows, beta testing Delphi '95 client/server ... An article from: Software Industry Report (Digital)
I remember when I ran Paradox Atlanta, a Paradox Users Group, and hearing about Delphi for the first-time. My first thought was "Oh no, another Borland tool that I don't have time to learn. But I know that I'm going to have fun learning it...".17 years later this blurb, which in the last paragraph describes Delphi as ".. an excellent tool for reducing the backlog of in-house corporate applications", reminds me of my first giddy days of learning how to transition from database progrsmming in Paradox to object-oriented programming in Delphi. And 17 years later many in-house corporate applications are still being maintained in Delphi. Good times. Michael Hassler, President LTA Systems, Inc. |
