These are actually meant for restaurant use, and it really shows. These glasses are gorgeous and sturdy. My only disappointment is that there is a fill line to mark to measure one shot which is not shown in the photo due to the liquid already in it--hence 4 stars. Aside from this, I would definitely purchase it again; it makes a beautiful housewarming or birthday gift to that sophisticated couple you might know.

My husband and I enjoy playing bartender, and we love mixing up classic cocktails. Martini glasses just aren't right for some of the old-school concoctions we enjoy, so we chose these glasses as a bit more manly alternative. They are perfect. The heavy base keeps them steady and they have a good heft in the hand. A great size for a cocktail like an Aviation or a Crusta. Whenever we want a cocktail glass that isn't a martini glass, we reach for these. Perfect for liqueurs too!

The "shot glass" description on these is way off. These are much, much larger than your average shot glass and are great for everything from sipping a single malt scotch to a glass of fresh-squeezed OJ to a bit of champagne. Each glass contains more, well, *glass* than you could imagine. They're heavy, hefty, and a total pleasure to hold.
My only complaint is that after about two years, two of the 8 I purchased got chipped on the rim, even with careful handling.
