4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful
These are actually meant for restaurant use, and it really shows. These glasses are gorgeous and sturdy. My only disappointment is that there is a fill line to mark to measure one shot which is not shown in the photo due to the liquid already in it--hence 4 stars. Aside from this, I would definitely purchase it again; it makes a beautiful housewarming or birthday gift to...

1.0 out of 5 stars smashed!
These glasses arrived completely smashed to pieces. So much so that I was afraid of slicing myself and couldn't even open the box to check how many are broken (sounds like all of them ). Almost no padding in the box, so what else would you expect. Re-ordering the glasses as I want them and sending the smashed set back. I hope I can change my review and this was a one-time...

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid, well made and just the right size for a cocktail, February 8, 2011

My husband and I enjoy playing bartender, and we love mixing up classic cocktails. Martini glasses just aren't right for some of the old-school concoctions we enjoy, so we chose these glasses as a bit more manly alternative. They are perfect. The heavy base keeps them steady and they have a good heft in the hand. A great size for a cocktail like an Aviation or a Crusta. Whenever we want a cocktail glass that isn't a martini glass, we reach for these. Perfect for liqueurs too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Cafe Glasses, November 18, 2010

The "shot glass" description on these is way off. These are much, much larger than your average shot glass and are great for everything from sipping a single malt scotch to a glass of fresh-squeezed OJ to a bit of champagne. Each glass contains more, well, *glass* than you could imagine. They're heavy, hefty, and a total pleasure to hold.

My only complaint is that after about two years, two of the 8 I purchased got chipped on the rim, even with careful handling.

I've never actually seen a glass like this before and that's after 20+ years of lounge lizardom. But a super glass none the less from Parma in Italy.

At just under 5.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches of that solid glass base, these glasses aren't dainty. They're downright heavy. Good for wine, juice, great for shots. The 1 ounce "line" isn't so much a line as it is a ripple in the glass itself. And if you're eying the line you either own the bar or haven't had enough.

The quality (at this price) is about what you should expect...slight imperfections in the glass if you really look hard and of course the lip ripple..but hey, a great value none the less.

And though no health claims are made, they just might help develop your biceps.

Cin cin.

Nothing from Amazon has ever arrived damaged.

These are excellent "good bar" quality glasses. They hold the perfect amount for a late night drink with friends and are almost ridiculously solid. As a good friend stated as a I handed him a drink, "this is the kind of glass that if you threw it at something . . . it would break the something." They look terrificly cool and feel great in the hand. And the price is more than right for these babies! Love them.

Excellent glasses with a good strong feel. Lots of glass in the base and thick side walls. Packaging might be a problem. One of the 12 glasses I ordered was broken.

These have such a great feel to them. Heavy and very solid. Great to sip a good Anejo Tequila from. People are always intrigued when they see them because they look like a regular shot glass that has been put on steroids.

It's a crapshoot buying glassware from Amazon. They have great selections, and these are wonderful shot glasses, but they were poorly packaged and only four of the six survived. Huge pain to return and no guarantee the replacements will be undamaged.

This was an instance where I would have benefited from actually seeing them.

They are 6 or 7 inches tall and each glass weighs alot and is very heavy in your hand

This is not a delicate shot glass, It is a big boy!

The quality is good, I'm not sending them back, but I am not thrilled with them.
