A good replacement for plastic containers. These are heavy glass with an air-tight frosted lid. Great for storage in the refrigerator or in the freezer and the blue seal on the lid allows you to open it with a press of your finger so you can put it in the microwave and reheat. I'm using these instead of plastic or Corning ware containers.

These containers are so well made with an easy locking system for the lids that doesn't seem like it will fail after many usages. The plastic snap-on lids on other snap ware storage containers look like they could have a serious failure mode after that plastic is bent over many closures. The glass container is such a clear and beautiful glass and the lids fit so precisely with a very easy to use system that doesn't require the wrist or hand strength required of some snap lock systems. The capacity of these two items is not as capacious as you would imagine but they are still quite useful. If the dishes were very much larger, they would probably be quite heavy as these are substantial containers. I am quite pleased with elegance of design and function of these pieces and cannot really find fault with them.

My neighbor brought some cake over for us in these containers. Loved the containers so much that I had to get it for myself. Glass is great for the microwave and the food tastes great when you use it. Would recomend them highly.

Sizes were not given so I just looked at the picture and they looked to be a good size. Received item and they were much too small. Had to return them. Customer service was very good. She looked at the picture and agreed with me. Next time give the sizes.
